Solution is simple make a poll for who is for kicking the leader. And who ever polls for demoting leader polls for which co leader should be leader. It is easy. And forget the time they have to be inactive. If a leader is a bad one demote them to.

Exactly. It is not just about the coding of the game. The game scripts need to get along and 1 bad script can mess everything up. I have in the past messed around with scripting and i have quickly found out scripting is not just time consuming but you need to kbow the parameters of the other scripts. Some scripts will shut down other scripts. But it takes more than a few hours to write a script that changes the function of other scripts.
should also get rid of inactive clans...
Um clã não é feito por um único jogador..Então todos que estão no clã são donos do clã pois sem membros o clã não cresce..
Possibly the first time a leader promoted someone they would have to choose an "heir" who would have to be one of the highest ranks (probably coleader but in case they had only elders and members they could choose an elder). As soon as the leader has been inactive for, let's say 45 days, the designated "heir" will be made leader. If clan does not have any elders or coleaders, it is probably not hardcore enough for anyone to care about it. I think this is a great idea and hope it will be seen by Supercell.
#1: I started the clan over a year ago & ran it till the end.
#2: The guys who want to return are the "good ol' boys" who helped build the clan.
#3: The present "drone leader" was only put in place so we would not lose OUR hard work in case we decided to return. (Problem is the guy who made it left the game & can't be reached.)
You see, it is OUR clan!
So, dipsh*t, who's the @hole???
I appreciate all the ideas & suggestions, but if anyone wants to be a d¡ck & make ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed comments or accusations (repus) , please ask to know all the pertinent info before doing so. Otherwise you may end up embarrassing yourself. Thank you.
Technically, the computer or "machine" language works on a coding system using 1's & 0's, but extremely few modern day programmers understand how to communicate that way. There are programs you use to convey what you want the computer to do. These programs run what you're asking the computer to do through what is called a "compiler", which translates your commands into the "machine" language. This process has changed what once used to take MANY, MANY hours to do into a fraction of the time. Still, even with the new programming process, some "easy" alterations can take several hours of work tweaking & working out the conflicts.
Learning to write code is complicated and there are several "languages". This is NOT something you can pick up over the course of a weekend. Explaining it is also not something you can do in a little snipit. My comment was not to belittle the work, intelligence and time required in order to learn even the basics for writing code. My comment is towards those who already know and understand successfully HOW TO do it. And once KNOWING how to do it, as the programmers of CoC do, the time and effort required to do certain tasks are much less intensive than others, as is the suggestion in this thread.
Yes, agreed. The initial writing may not take that long (refering to a skilled & competent coder) , but the "tweaks" can take many hours & can become frustrating . I just think the issue is important and worth it for Supercell to start on it instead of making excuses. We are not talking about a company of struggling programmers working out of mom's basement and trying to make ends meet. These guys make hundreds of millions of dollars off this game. I do believe they can afford to make the effort to make certain changes even if the coding takes a few hours longer than expected.
Also, it's not like asking them to design another troop. It's something that has to do with what they are quite familiar with and skilled. IE: "The Timer"!
As a leader, if you leave the game "for a time" the game notifies you saying your clan needs a leader! ALL of our bases are on timers. Otherwise how do you think Supercell recognizes the dead bases for when they want to do a "house cleaning"? (Come on! Is there anyone who actually thinks some guys from Supercell spend hours and hours looking for and trashing dead bases one at a time? Lol.) This is not one of the more difficult requests and one I would guess they are more than capable of executing.
