Time to Get Rid of Inactive Leaders

Since the beginning of Clash of Clans there has been an irritating issue that has never been truly resolved. That is "Inactive Leaders". Supercell's response has always been telling us to try & contact the inactive leaders or leave the clan, claiming there is nothing else they could possibly do. However, anyone who works with computer software & coding knows that response is completely ♥♥. Translated, it means, "We're too lazy to spend any time on it." (Like 30 minutes to a couple hours is not worth the multi millions of dollars this game makes each month.)

Other games place a time limit as to how long a leader can be inactive before losing the leader position. Clash of Clans can EASILY put a limit of 30 days, which would solve this problem.

Now we know that Supercell has employees that also play the game. If they had this issue with their clans it would have been resolved long ago.

So Supercell, for the benefit of not insulting the intelligence of those who can write the code over their lunch break, please resolve this issue and get rid of inactive leaders once and for all. Thank you.

Maybe adding a new poll feature? This poll is for voting to demote an leader who r inactive for a certain long of time like 30-days. This poll gives each member in the clan a right to vote whether to demote or keep the leader as well as if electing new leader :)

So how would you go about getting a new leader?
Ok if there's only one CO it's straight forward but what if you've two or three, what if someone lower down wants to try running the clan?, What if a newly elected leaders starts kicking players or completely changes the direction of the clan?
There would be so many issues with electing a new leader it's simply easier to more on else where.

I agree that if a leader is inactive for more that 30-45 days, Than the co leader that is the most active/donation- etc..should get the lead automatically.

If a leader is inactive for 30 days, the position of leader should be passed to the next person in line. This can be based on highest rank + TH level + donations.

Another option, if there is more than one person having the next highest rank, the voting option could be incorporated. However, there should be a time limit (48 to 72 hours). In that time, the person with the most votes wins.

As far as "clan direction", it's better to have some direction than none at all.

(In my case, the clan took a break because of the Dec & Mar updates. One guy made a "drone" account that was given the leader position, so the lv6 clan would not end. Everyone else left the clan for a break. However, the guy who created the drone acct left the game & can't be reached. So now, as people want to return, there is one dead leader & NO other ranks! That means NO promos, NO wars, etc. The only reason we returned is because of the May update. However, we DON'T want to lose a level 6 clan. Supercell has not been helpful. They're killing off dead bases, but refuse to kill this dead base even though it has NOT grown past the castle being built and has been dead for months. Sorry about the long history update.)

hey stupid a$$h0le you can't just steal someone's hard work .
if a clan is inactive just leave and join other clan there are million clans out there or create your own.
its like Expropriating a clan which you don't own.

I don't agree with the curse words, but I agree with your idea. It's like wanting to take over a company because your boss doesn't come to work... not as if you were not getting paid.

Mostly these days, 1 person brings there multiple accounts into 1 clan. In that case, even if he starts a poll, obviously his other accounts would be voting in the pole as well. That wont be fair !
