Loot idea to prevent having to hit Next for 10 minutes
I had an idea that would be a huge change how loot is won, but won't change the basis for how the game is played. A little background so you know I'm not some person who has been playing for a month who is clueless about the game. I'm a TH9 that is almost maxed and I'm in Champion 3 league so my loot bonus is 200K/1200 DE. I've played for a little over 2 years now.
One thing that has gotten old and makes me want to stop playing is the fact that I know I might spend 10-15 minutes hitting next just to find a base worthy of hitting. I don't necessarily want to quit, but sometimes it feels more like a chore or burden to have to hit next for 10 minutes until I can do the attack. I'm not even talking about waiting for those massive scores of 300-400K. Sometimes I only find bases worth 100K each in 100 searches. My idea will change how you win loot by attacking bases which will drastically reduce the amount of times you hit next.
Instead of literally stealing loot from your enemy, how about increasing the loot bonuses by 100-150%, and reward it based on how many storages/collectors you destroyed as well as the TH? As a TH9 in champion 3 attacking another TH9, a full 100% would be worth 400K gold and elixir and 2500-3000 DE. If you only get one star and don't destroy the TH, you only get 75% of the loot available. Each collector and storage is worth a certain percentage of loot. Destroying every collector and storage, as well as the TH, will get you 400K elixir and gold. Getting 100% on a base will award an extra 50K each. These numbers will obviously scale up or down based on league and TH level. Maybe even give a little extra for attacking a TH higher than you.
You might ask, what about defense? People will have similar reductions in their total loot based on how much they have. Having your base completely destroyed will result in a total loss of 10% of their current loot, up to a certain maximum. For a TH9, this will be 250K or 300K of each. That way it is on par with similar losses for people who have a lot of loot in the current system.
With a system like this, people will still be encouraged to do strategic attacks, and people will still be encouraged to have smart defenses. People won't hit next 50 times simply because they haven't found a base that has enough loot for the attack to be worth it. The difference with this system and the current system is that people will attack bases solely on whether or not they think they can destroy the base. The amount of loot available to steal will never be a factor. Also, since your loot bonus will be higher if you are in a higher league, there will be no incentive for TH9s 10s and 11s to hang out in gold and silver league. Players will have to move up to a league that is better suited to their current defense, which might make TH9s such as myself find more TH9s in champion/master league. This will also eliminate the "bring back dead bases" complainers.
