How's everyone doing collecting dark elixir? For those of you who haven't purchased DE or the buildings through gems, have you hit 10,000 yet?
Me: Built 2 level 1 DE drills. Built 1 level 1 DE storage. Didn't gem them. Haven't tried to upgrade them.
Total DE so far : 5,016
I got 1k. Build 1 drill cause i only got th lvl 8
My drill has been upgrading ever since I bought it, currently upgrading to level 3. I have ahout 1200 DE, all from raiding others. Most of that has been in the last 24 hours.
I've looted over 1,000, but I'm not sure how much more since I don't have a storage unit.
I got TH7 about a week before the update so it's going to be a while before I get TH8 for the drill (if I even bother).
I did put up a dark elixir store though and have managed to collect a few hundred. I'm really not searching for it, so I just get the ocassional 100 or so loot as I go about my normal attacking.
I'm intending to get the 10k built up for the King before I upgrade to TH8 though since a 9k store on a TH8 base with TH7 defenses will probably attract a lot of attention from the TH9s in my trophy range. That's still several weeks away though as I've let my pump and mine upgrades fall behind and this is a good time to catch up on that while all the new updates settle in.
I've got about 1,300 right now, mostly from my pump (I'm TH8). I'm not a "gemmer" -- I've spent $20 total on this game, buying extra builders and being impatient a couple times. I have to say, this hero thing is testing my patience big-time (SuperCell's $ plan may be working lol): I'm seriously thinking of spending $5 to get the extra 500 gems I need to get "The King"... but resisting the urge for now.
As of this morning I had 3300. I'm at TH8 so had just the one drill and storage. Then I realized I had $8 and some change left on an iTunes card so I bought 500 gems and got the Barb King. I've collected and looted another 500 today towards the first Barb King upgrade.
I have about 1200 currently. I am a TH 8 with a lvl 2 drill now. I have had some stolen, though, because I dont have enough to really worry about really protecting it very much.

I don't usually go for it either. I'm still focusing on getting the rest of my defenses done. The DE toys can wait once I feel like I can actually defend my base. Sometimes if i see a drill/storage just sitting there, i'll drop a few gobs, take the trophy hit and move on. I think the most I've ever raided at a time was 130 or so.
Any idea of how much people see to raid with 5000 in my storage?
