Clan War Leaderboard/Clan Leveling/Spells on Storages
Hi guys. Below are some of my ideas for the game and better gameplay.
1. Clan War Leaderboard
Now with the new win streak system, I think we need a new leaderboard just for clan wars featuring those clans with the highest win streaks. Perhaps with gem rewards at the end of every season and unlike trophies, win streaks can carry on to the next season. This will bring more competition into clan wars and top war-specialized clans will gain popularity just like top trophy pushing clans. This will be a great addition to the game since many of us play this game just for the clan wars after all.
2. Clan Leveling and XP
The current clan leveling system can be improved to bring even more competition into clan wars. Currently clans gain XP regardless of winning or losing the war. So given time even lacking clans will make it to the higher clan levels. This means clan levels will eventually mean little in distinguishing good clans from the average. However, if clan XP is made harder to earn like trophies, it will give much more value to the hard earned levels a clan acquires. Other things can remain the same like bigger wars = bigger XP but losing a war should reduce a clans XP by something like half of what they would have gained from winning. Then the amount of XP needed for each level can be reduced. I have seen many not so great clans sitting on high levels only because of doing bigger wars and not because of their skill. What I would like to see is high level clans respected for making it that far and their badge to hold value because not every clan can reach that level easily.
Another Idea to the Clan war Leaderboard is to use Clan XP to rank clans instead of win streaks.. or why not both! We can have 2 sections in the Leaderboard featuring both top win streak clans and top XP clans.
3. Spell Damage on Storages
We all know how annoying it was to see someone steal a large amount of your loot with literally no effort and its great supercell did something to address that but, I think they did it the wrong way. Making storages totally immune to spell damage isn't the best way to fix it because while storages hold loot they are also a necessary building to destroy to gain percent/stars on a base. Imagine in a raid you are at stuck at 49%, there is a storage that your troops didn't completely destroy which has a hair of an hp left and well, you do have an earthquake/lightning left...(happened to me before!). To make it worse this is the same in clan wars where loot from bases doesn't hold as much value. Using earthquake to shed large amounts of hp from high hp buildings is a good clan war strategy. Storages are also high hp buildings and they shouldn't be an exception.
The better way of fixing this is that spells do damage storage structures but, they do not gain you any loot unless the storage is destroyed by the spell. There is a similar principle already in town hall and clan castle loot but this one should only be with spells.
