Thank you for saying this! So many people are saying that this will be lame for wars, but I totally agree with you and was wondering why no one else thought this.
It is a great idea and all, but would it automatically turn off if you are doing a war search and stay off till war is over? If not, then it would be like xmodding. Clan mates make their bases to look like enemies and you would get endless turns to perfect your attack before hand.
Just a question, hoping you thought of that as well!
Jake is worried, Ash & Powerbang less so. I'd also guess that the people who use this feature the most are the ones creating new th3s on a constant basis to try & keep using mod. I think the easy solution is to prevent a base less than two days old from being offered up as a challenge.
as a member of a warclan; this could be fun, but please limit the challenge to 1 attack per clan member.
People will spend the time to do this (we already spent a long time to make armies etc.), copying a base is really not hard to do and would take minutes of the day. It will become a requirement to win. I'm not sure why others find it hard to see that far ahead.[/QUOTE]
Agree. Many wars come down to a couple hits at the top against TH11 or TH10. The rest of the bases are tripled. You can be guarantied that the enemy will use this feature to win. That means you, in turn, must do so too. And, no, I'm not talking about every war. A lot of wars we win by a comfy margin. But 1 in every 5 or 6 wars we get a tough clan. Those are the wars I care about.
Now, the next great thing will be to enable the usage of the heroes in war when they are under upgrate. Is it coming soon?:)
Edit : Already addressed.
It'll help clan leaders figure out whom they need to kick, also help increase skills clan wide. This tool will be a game changer for clans who use it. For those who don't, they will just flounder around like they already are. Keep up the good work thanks for this tool!👍
Does this mean u need fake war base until just before war start and then change ..so they dont practise on your real base??
This......
I have 8 accounts, 3 clans, I can simply copy in "clan at war", go to another account/clan and attack myself over and over.
Let me preface this by saying that I haven't purchased any gems since TH11-Update so others are supporting the game that I still enjoy and I'm grateful for that. And as I have become a very casual player since then, I respect and appreciate the hard core players/forumers that keep the game moving forward.
That being said, this is a killer for the the casual player yet once more. Owning my own business, home, 3 kids, wife, dog, cat and even a bunny (furry kind), there is no way I will ever have the time to copy and practice over and over.... I will become a liability for my "serious" war clan. Casuals will be relegated to bait fish clans.
Not complaining, just disheartened, COC is still the best game out there, in my humble opinion.
1 attack against a war opponent and you can just watch a replay to see where the stuff is. Build the base and friendly attack it over and over. 2nd attack is guaranteed 3-star
This will truly divide those who can play full time as opposed to those that can only briefly log in for war.
TH11 mechanics changed liquidated the resources for casuals that played to war, and this will impact the war side of things for casuals.
It feels as though SC intends for CoC to be a very exclusive product. IMO
This feature is incomplete without the possibility to copy a base, either a base of an opponent in war or a base you see and like while raiding. If one wants to practice attacks aimed at war opponents, then why not make it complete and give us the option to copy that base, instead of spending a lot of time to build it, which some people will do anyway? Make it really useful and friendly in the same time.
Doesnt matter if its abused. Its better then xmod flourishing again.
Often the message is lost in its delivery. These bits and pieces updates are not communicated to the players correctly. If there are MORE details about this update, SC needs to share then NOW. The damage is being done.
Interesting that this idea replaces the fair play thread. Nice job!
I started that thread and everyone says is ruled out..
For everyone decrying its use to "cheat" in war, there is a very simple fix: any base design edited during a war (prep day and battle day) is non sharable for friendly attacks until after that war ends.
Other ways to cut down is add a cooldown to how often a base can be challenged, leave in the resource cost of building an army, etc.
The question is what isnthe purpose of allowing friendly base attacks. If it is to allow offline practice attacks to hone skills, great. If it is to help iterate on war base design, great. If it is to allow people to practice attacks over and over on current war base designs, im not as much of a fan.
I think a timeout for base designs altered during war till after war end is sufficient to facilitate what we want to make sure does and does not happen.
Agree with comments about a 48 hr wait time between building a base, and allowing that base to be used in a friendly challenge.
If you can build a base and immediately practice attacks on it, I feel this will shorten the shelf life of this game.
I think we should be able to just pick our army before attacking like the guys get to in the testing app. Having to actually train a specific army that may be extremely expensive and not very viable in normal attacks kinda sucks. Definitely glad friendly battles are coming though! I just think it will be a lot better if we can just choose our troops from what we have unlocked right before battling.
This is an awful idea. This is way to easy to abuse. Even if you limited the number of chances or made it unavailable during war, that doesn't mean you couldn't have a second account or even clan designed for practicing bases. Please DO NOT DO THIS. This is the worst idea you have had in a very long time, seriously SuperCell you had a run of great updates and then you effectively legalize cheating and build it into the game. ♥♥♥ are you thinking?!@
Wow really supercell you guys are going to mess up clan wars all I have to do is have a member copy the base(s) and just hit them over and over till I find away to three star it IF THIS IS TRUE AND YOU ALL GO THROUGH WITH THIS WE ARE DONE WITH WARS THERE IS NO POINT TO WAR that's what Multi play attacking is for to practice not copy war bases and attack it till they find away shoot all they have to do is attack it find out where the bombs and traps are them have a clan member copy it then just attack it till they find away this is a very dumb ideal yea it's sounds fun to get to attack clan members or even members out in global that likes to shoot off from the mouth but this will mess up clan wars like I just said before there is no point to war anymore !!!! Clan wars will be over
I completely agree! Anybody putting in that amount of time will already be up against clans doing the same. As long as the playing field is even, I don't care. Both clans have the same opportunity do do it. Adding a big cool down defeats the purpose. I want someone to attack my base, then move some traps around or change some defensive positions and have them hit it again. That's how we can really perfect our bases, to have a 48 cool down on that would be ridiculous.
Cmon people, how many times did you wish you had another chance to get those three stars in war? Now you (theoretically) have no more excuses. Skills are still needed, cause no two attacks go identically the same.
Why did u do this supercell😭😭😭😭😭,why are u ruining clan wars?not all people have time to sit on this game for hours,so this update isn'tfair to everybody.plz don't release this update
I haven't heard this from a single person here. Please think of this scenario.
The war is close, in a 40vs40, both clans have 115/120 stars. One clan has a th9 has their top th9 2 starred, while the enemy team has a th9 2 starred as well. Traps are COMPLETELY VISIBLE. 1 hour left in war. One player in their clan who is also a max th9 decides to copy the base and the exact locations of the traps, fills the cc the exact same as the war map. The player who has his attack left sandboxes until he finds the 3 star recipe! The player performs this attack and 3 stars with ease. The other team, who has a life, does not have time to cheat, and they lose. Sure this is an exaggerated scenario. Imagine if its th10 bases. "Oh but they can disable it during war?" Okay. What if this clan makes a new clan with a mini, and then whoever wants to sandbox goes there, sandboxes, and then comes back. SUPERCELL WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!?! Why not make two game modes for war then?! One game mode that's the same as it is now. And one game mode for xmod players, and have them compete there? That way you can regain the lost revenue? Thanks!
Don't listen to that garbage supercell! When people actually try to copy war bases and realize they don't know where traps are, etc and spend tons of time trying to perfect attacks, only to fail anyway, nobody will be complaining. A clan would have to spend the entire day arranging bases, training different armies, guessing at trap locations and cc troops, just to realize it didn't give them much of an advantage on that one attack they worked so hard for. Lol. Most good players are adults with lives and jobs etc. This is great addition that we've wanted forever. The grass is always greener..... Lol
First off, outside of war this is a really good idea. I have wanted it for years, and was disappointed that SC had ruled it out.
In wars, I think it is one of SCs worst ideas ever, and it is likely to ruin the game for me. A cool down would eliminate the ability to do war sandbox runs. It wouldn't have to be for 48 hrs. 24 hours in theory would be enough. People would just have to put up decoy bases.
First of all, it would be the guy that also has the max th9 with similar hero's that needs to do the attacking, so he couldn't be the one to copy the base. Second, every good clan knows to start at a time where your top 5 players will have the last 2 hours of war free. Third, both clans have the same advantage!!! This isn't cheating, just like any war ever... The clan who prepares the best and puts in the best effort and talks about attacks, USUALLY WINS! If a clan is going to go through that much to beat you, they would have kicked your butt anyway!!!
so what date will this take place
Does anyone know if the one gem boost is a daily thing or just one gem until the update comes out. I can't find it anywhere.
I was not registered to this forum before today. I took time out of my day and intentionally registered to mention how I think this idea for the game will be the reason I quit playing after 3 years of commitment if its allowed during wars. Please supercell send us some kind of message that this feature will not be activated during wars. Wars are kinda the only thing keeping me in the game currently along with a few enjoyable farming raids which aren't enough on their own. I understand this will be fair in the sense that we all have access to it, but during war is where its not fair to what the game stands for. In my clan Im not the only maxed member. All I have to do is ask him to duplicate one of the other th11 bases on the war map and I can hit it over and over and over. We war 3 times a week, but I know clans out there so determined to win that they will pay people to attack for them. These people will abuse this feature. I guess I have till the release day before I know if I'm deleting the app or not, but in the mean time please give the war community some hope going forward. Thank you.
Man idk but if they dont somehow make it unusable for war practice then its gonna be rediculous for clans like mine. We do 10v10 to 15v15 wars, and if we ever really have an issue its against only their #1, and vice versa. I can easily see our wars being perfect war ties EVERY WAR. Come on man really.
This is the only way to effectively combat ghosting. I'm so excited to this, great job SC!
Same could be said for Hero upgrades or any upgrades for that matter. Those with the time to invest always have the advantage its the way of the world.
It wont be as quite easy as some of you think to copy and practice all war attacks. It will be possible but not easy and as Lach pointed out, unless you have a clan mate with the exact same level buildings and know exactly where every trap is, there is little chance of a 100% exact replica of a base. Lets give it a shot. If its easier to exploit than I think it will be I'm sure it will be tweaked later on.
Me personally I think this is a very good idea to be able to practice attacks on created bases I think it would add some spice to the game and I support this 100% but I can also see people exploiting the idea in war but I've thought about a simple fix just make sure that the newly made bases won't be able to be attacked during war and sure you say you could have an alt copy the base and make it in a different clan out of war but if you add a timer to which said newly made base can't be attacked for "48 hours" it would rule out any exploits and I know that the majority of the people who're against this idea have recycled base's and need to be creative and stop settling for Internet bases.
it's quite simple. there are three camps in this debate
trophy farmers - support this
war cheaters - support this
fair play war clans - do not support this
there are far more trophy farmers than there are FP players. on top of that, trophy farmers spend more on gems that FP players. supercell will always side on whoever makes them more money. sorry fair play clans, but we'll never get what we want. the end.
I think people are missing the fact that they can also use this to fine tune a base. It will also make it harder to 3 star a base if the guy has had 5 attacks run in his base by the best attackers in his clan who then proceded to give him advice on it. So it goes both ways.
Lol all you have to do is wait till after a base has been attacked then copy it and attack it so yea it's not fair plus all you have to do is have another account in a different clan that's not in war and copy the base and hit it over and over till you find out how to get it three started I can mock a fight just like someone Else just did that's not hard at all
I doubt they would let you to be able to attack newly made bases during war
Well here's the thing on that clans that war all the time like us back to back we see our bases getting attack and can already improve our bases from that we don't need to cheat or have someone hit the bases over and over to make it better shoot we know how and where your troops will go just my putting the buildings walls and weapons in certain locations forcing your troops where we want them to go
Fun idea. However should not be active during wars. Only way to avoid unfair practicing over and over on replicated war bases to practice on. Otherwise fun idea for clan mates.
Quand la mise à va t'elle être appliquer ??
Got a bad feeling about is update
I think people are forgetting that when supercell implemented this idea they didn't think of the war community but only the fun aspect of it for casual players
People will still mod, but just to copy bases lol ;)
What if you lose half your troops in an attack or something. De-incintivising copying a base and hiting it a bunch.
The he problem with the whole thing is there is clans that has sister clans some has up to 5 now all they would have to do is have some of there other members copy the base and then just attack it over and over what supercell needs to do just just scratch this whole New ideal it's a very bad thing it's not good we push and war but after the update that's coming I would say we are done with this game I have been playing as well around two to three years now and that's the only reason I keep playing is war after the update there's no point to play anymore
Few people(most vocal) are just over-reacting. I agree with you. Too much fuss over a feature which helps the noobs in my clan for sure. Lot of people in my clan are busy farming, but they enjoy wars a lot. But dont want to run out of resources practicing heavy dark armies. This will help my clan a lottt.
Ours is an almost level 9 clan with work/irl friends.
I have been reading the posts on this topic since the news dropped. It seems like clashers are divided on this issue. Well, not to be generic about it, but I think I am too. Why? Here's my take:
1. Implementing this friendly challenge option will transform CWs. I don't think it's a stretch to say that CWs will become more like trophy pushing. Put in more time and thou shalt reap the rewards. Skill and planning will not be paramount to success, but persistence and effort will.
(Now, it remains to be seen whether SC limits the usage of this feature with respect to Prep/Battle day in CWs. Since the general post didn't mention anything, I am basing my opinion that it won't. However further information might change the dynamics mentioned above.)
2. Many have questioned how many clans will actually put in the effort and try out different comps due to the time sink. Well, you will be surprised to know - that's exactly what modders do in CWs. They work on a base for hours to crack it. So time sink won't be an issue for those who wanna 3 star every base. Most top war clans will certainly put in the work and time necessary to do so.
(If you mention that traps and cc info will be hidden during the actual attack, 2 words for ya - scout attack!)
3. What does the introduction of this feature mean for arranged matchups and a clan war competitive scene(both of which have been long time requests from the war community)? Well, certainly SC could implement those features in the future, but will it have the same ring to it if there is no element of surprise left in the match?
4. Now for the average casual war player, this feature might sound great. Why wouldn't it? If you are stuck on a particular base and really want to beat it, it is an excellent feature. It will also allow players to do something new with their time in the game.
5. Sandboxing had always been on the rejected list of ideas for SC. So why flip flop now? More so, when the psychic octopus hasn't even finished its job yet? Did they realize that banning modders would hurt their numbers? I don't know and I can't stress it enough. However, the timing does seem wry.
Lastly, I would like to say that I had rode out the TH11 December update, so I'll probably ride this one out too( Yep, that's my benchmark for a ♥♥♥♥ty update). Moreover, we haven't seen what real time effect it has on the CW scene. So until then, it is all speculation.
(Speculation isn't worthless, you know! That's why they do exit polls.) :):)
c'mon you survived the december update. :D
The only complaint you have is some obscure no-life clan is going to abuse it ?? Think about yourself and your clan man.. i'm sure you can see the fun in having this feature. The same obscure no-life clan is doing all it can today as well with burner accounts or what have you.
I don't think you understand how big the hardcore FairPlay war community is. Just because you are in a chill clan (which is fine) this may not affect you and this is probably a good update for you but you should at least understand that in the grand scheme of things lots of clans will suffer (same people as before) because if what they say is true what was called modding is now allowable and encouraged.
Hardcore FairPlay war guys are getting annoyed with SC because they keep getting it wrong for us or simply don't care about us. Seems like they banned modding so we had a 3 week party and then they're gonna turn back around and take it all away.
Yep, didnt think about sister clans. A solid 48 hour timeout on friendly attacks after edit is the way to go to prevent advantage in war to those who have free time to copy and attack bases over and over.
I am looking forward to the feature to help train new members and iterate on base design. Hate the idea of waiting 48 hours to get real feedback on base design, but hate even more the idea of abuse in war.
Supercell - this thread has yielded some good recommendations that you should consider. The solution I like best is a cool down between base creation and when it can be Friendly Challenged. I don't know what you guys have rolling out in this update, but choose a "cool off" period that will cover any war prep/fight time-frame. With this latency added to the mix, you will still get people using the feature to try out new attacks or base designs, but keep the war community happy. Win/Win.
If you don't do this you are changing the entire CoC existence for the War Community - perhaps a small but very vocal, active slice of the population. They are Influencers and you don't want to lose their support.
I know that you are trying to balance the game to get higher User Engagement which increases revenues ... i.e. in game purchases. I have no problem with that as I understand the perils of a Freemium model ... believe me I do ... more than most :)
Big fan of the game and your work! Best of Luck ...
It has its pros & cons but once you look at it beyond War it's a great feature IMO. No more waiting to be raided so you can adjust your base. You can hit Global up to see if anyone up for a Challenge. Sort of a mini 1 on 1 War, which doesn't take 2 days to complete. Which you can arrange with a couple of Clanmates & do a 3 on 3 or whatever, you might have to break out a pen & some paper to keep up with damage % & stars, but it still will be fun.
Sorry for the confusion. I was just talking about how this update seems hypocritical. Step 1: Ban people for copying bases and getting an advantage in clan war. Step 2: Lets give everyone the ability to copy bases an get an advantage in clan war. Step 3: We get more money and hopefully those banned people come back....I don't think the idea is a good one, but unfortunately they own the company so we either adapt or quit.
Allowing it in clan war though is pretty unacceptable in every way for most who care about attacking a fresh base and taking a few minutes to understand troop AI. If you want to be good at something it requires effort for most people. If you want everything given to you thats fine just make sure you don't get a job, marry someone poor, or have back luck playing the lottery.
Yes, you are correct in all your assumptions. Since I am a predominately war guy, I tend to look at every update(albeit the quality of life ones) from the perspective of war. If SC can come up with ways to limit its function with respect to war, I am cool with it.
I still don't see many clans out there that are really going to turn to this as the new xmod. One huge difference, is it requires clanmates who will take the time to carefully replicate an enemy base. It takes me 30 minutes to make a perfect copy of a th9. th10 & th11 will take even longer. Then you either need a clanmate who is willing to keep issuing challenges for hours or happen to have a second account that is a very close match to the base you want to sandbox. I'm sure it's going to be abused, but I'm really skeptical that this will really be as widespread as modding. It simply requires much, much more time to implement.
You guys are delusional if you think the thousands of elite, hardcore war players outspend the millions of people who rush to th7 & quit after spending $20 or $30 on gems. That's SC's real revenue, not us.
That said, I agree that SC is sending a confusing message about fairplay here. There have been a couple really easy fixes proposed that will keep it from being abused the way xmod was:
1. Limit the number of challenges a player can issue - If you can only make one attack against a given clanmate per day, that means you need to get multiple accounts to keep duplicating a base.
2. Require layouts to have been active for 48 hours before they can be used for sandbox - If this applies to all new layouts, not just clans in war, that shuts down the ability 100%.
SC needs to offer some explanation as to whether they are intending this as a way to keep former modders from leaving & an incentive to abide by the ToS or if they really didn't see that some people really will spend all day sandboxing.
I understand your perspective yes. It does feel a bit like betrayal. I was part of two of those OH and CS, dont have time anymore so I am chilling in my friends/rl clan.
I am not sure if there are so many super serious war clans. OH, WW, NR, RO.. etc lets say there are 30 of them, lets include the feeders and the aspirants and make it 100. That is like 5000 clashers tops. There are approx 80 mill users logging in and out (source: clashofclansforecaster.com).
All I'm saying is - from a bigger perspective, there might be more people enjoying this feature.
This update is basically a bit late but welcome change for sandboxing. However I prefer ability to copy bases as well. I think 3rd party features was a great idea but SC decides to steal the idea. Better sooner than later.
Pro YouTubers can commence to provide quality video on how to 3 star which I can enjoy. Many of those sandboxers are perfectionist and provide valuable many failed attempted for us to get better at. I for one dont have that time.
1 gem collector boost - who are we kidding here. The reason is because of troop build time reduction without factoring in faster collector collection and storage percent cutoff of being raided. This also includes faster losses of loot from failed attacks which dissapears to thin air.
Majority th11 or in the 2k. It's make perfect sense to boost bonus loot much higher at lower trophy. Many don't want o trophy push. Most want easy loot. Or bring in snipe back.
Feedback please add any other thoughts?
Same here. On its face, it should be a fun update. Could lead to some interesting game play and mini game ideas. I just don't want it to negatively impact the most competitive part of the game CW. Why even create a fair play initiative then drop this idea out there if you don't have a plan to have war limitations? If they will have limits, my guess is they are regretting not publishing them yet. Creating lots of negativity. More than any update I have ever seen.
nice post. well summarized.
How big is it? Serious question. I'm guessing there are maybe a few hundred really, really hardcore clans active. I expect some will try to abuse it on a large scale, but that will require everyone in the clan spending a few hours a day just remaking layouts. Mostly it's going to be sandboxing one or two tough bases per war.
This is a good idea in general. I like the way you can practice bases. But it has some major faults. In April,Supercell made efforts to reduce modding. But now with the Friendy Battle thing, they have basically made their own xmod. In wars, people can just copy their opponent's base and attack it untill they 3 star. This will be abused very badly. I hope Supercell find's way to make this work without the exploitation of wars. I really want Friendly Battle, but not at the cost of unfair wars.
awseome update but need to know when it is coming on which date the udate is coming, need and answer please
First of all, it's obvious that Friendly Challenges will forever change base designing and war. No question about it. As it stands now, it's basically built in modding for whoever has the time, at least from a war perspective.
Let me first define FP clans, so there's no questions or toxicity about closet modders. A FP clan, in this context, is a clan that enjoys war competitively, is genuinely against modding, but wants to improve and get better with every attack. They strive to remove modders from their clan wherever possible.
So why are FP clans so butthurt about this? Since everyone has it, isn't this FP?
What FP clans want is a way to truly measure skill, in an equal environment. Friendly Battles are a very good way to make every war an equal environment. Both clans have easy access to it, so it evens out any potential unfair advantage one side might secretly have in arranged wars. In a truly FP arranged war, the decider of the fight should be skill. The side with the more skilled attackers would come out on top, earning their clan the victory.
However, with Friendly Battles in the mix, FP wars would no longer be decided on skill; The side with the most time on their hands would come out on top, rather than the side with more skilled attackers, essentially making every FP war into a TWC war. This is NOT how FP clans want to play the game. War should be a measure of pure skill, not a contest to see which players have the most time on their hands. That's what pushing is for. If FP players wanted to war this way, they would've downloaded mods and joined a TWC (At least up until a few weeks ago).
For a more in-depth explanation of this, I recommend Jake's video. He goes into much more detail than I have on why this would ruin true FP wars. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5CCGSO3-im0
But not all hope is lost. There are a few solutions and improvements that would make Friendly Battles an amazing addition to the game, especially for war clans. Anything from making them not available to clans in war, to making them cost a certain amount of gold to initiate, or making attackers lose their troops after practicing one, would prevent them from being exploited in war.
However, the best solution, in my opinion, is adding a timer to bases. Make it so you can't challenge your clan mates to a Friendly Battle against a base that has been built less than 47 hours ago. This would drastically improve them for FP clans, while also keeping them as a viable option for other aspects of the game. Adding said timer would only remove the potential for using Friendly Battles as a sandbox mode in war, letting FP wars be down to skill, and keeping the thrill of getting a triple on a hard base alive. This also keeps Friendly Battles as a viable option for base-building, both in war and for pushing. You can still build a solid war base and have your clan mates test it out before an important scrim. Pushers would still be able to test run bases against a variety of attacks before sending them out in the wild, potentially stopping a massive trophy loss. Again, I think Crave from Clash in the North has a much more detailed explanation of this idea, so I'm just gonna link his video for anyone that wants to watch it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OCSBWpf1BNo
Let's try to keep this one on topic, so this thread doesn't get closed or deleted. Moderators, please let discussion on this thread continue, as long as it is not toxic or against any other forum rules. I think this warrants a thread separate from the sticky in order to make reading and discussing it easier.
I will try to update this thread with any FAQs people may have, unless it gets merged. We'll see
Edit: Jake has posted another great video, detailing even more possible solutions. Would highly recommend watching this one too https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x0FV1gCtsHk
Previously 1 gem boosts were celebratory, now they're just a sweetening pill for dodgy updates.
But how is that "skill" you are boasting about gained?
Practicing is a fun and instructive idea. However, it should be limited to practicing on people in global. Another idea is that you get to retry your war attacks on bases you hit after war is over, and until the next war begins (or replays no longer available--whichever comes first). This will help you see where you went wrong and what could be better, but will not affect the outcome of war.
Love this idea! This would actually create a fair environment for war. Not everyone has time to crack a base and spend 12 or more hours a day playing this game. Great idea.
What will stop a clan from copying a war base and practice? Especially after a replay or 2
Hey! Skill is gained through war the way it has always been done. 2 raids per war to get better. Also through in depth planning and practicing in multiplayer mode.. Also the proposed idea to have the 47 hour time limit would allow you to practice war meta more often without sandboxing during war day.
Fun idea, something I thought about years ago. Simply make practice/challenge attacks unavailable during war, problem solved. In between wars is when it makes sense to have fun with your buddies and to work on tactics. but when your clan is at war, you should be prepared with the skills you already have.
Why is everyone so quick to add "solutions" to fixes on a change we don't have details about? Maybe there is a restriction already, maybe there is a timer. Bottom line, until we get full details about the change, any argument supporting or improving is a waste of time.
One last thing, if your clan enjoys the thrills of 3 stars without using any help, then don't use this feature in that way. Is winning the war more important that the joy you get from whatever reason you play the game?
I do not have the time to sit, copy an opponent war base, and practice on it 100 times. However, what I will use this for, is probably after I attack the base, if I fail or if I think a change would have worked, if it's important to me, I'll copy the base and try it later on.
I also have always wondered about certain things in the game that one would normally only be able to have done until now in a live war raid, example, if I drop the golem here, will he walk all the way to the cannon or bang on the wall by the archer tower. Or how about if I drop 3 zap spells here, what will it take out. Etc.. these are all things that FP clans did not have available to them that they now do. I don't mind getting that information if it means I lose the war because my opponent spent 24 hours that day on the game. If that's all they have time to do in their lives, I'm happy to give them the war win.
REMEMBER THIS IS A GAME!!!!!!!!!
If if you want to get good at this game do it just like we have attack in Multi play mode just like we did and do that's the point of this game if you lose then you learned something if you win you learned something watch your replays you can learn lots from all your replays and yes this is there game your 100% right but we as the people that play and for some that even pay we all have a Voice and can band together and say NO WE DONT WANT THIS AND THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING we have been up against a lot of clans that manipulate this game in war we have see everything from having a th 10 with almost max troops and with no walls and one cannon to a th 8 with some walls with max traps and teslas with max to almost max troops where a smaller th could not take it mostly asian clans but have seen others as well I see clans like these abusing it very badly if they are going to put a cool down on this then why even do the update most clans war back to back so we as a fair play clan would not ever even get to use it
Maybe this feature is not available during war?
