best solution make that any base edited in the last 48 hours cannot be use for friendly battles. So you get to practice too your hearts content but you can in no way use it to cheat in war

True. They will just jump to a new clan and test the base there.

Seems an update to pacify modders. I'd rather not have this personally but we'll see how it plays out. Stopping modding by introducing sandboxing seems the wrong direction.

Maybe so many were modding the user pool has dropped so they're trying to get them back onboard?

Since you have more of a direct line to supercell than any of us, why don't you suggest to them that making a sweeping post with half-information is not a good idea based on the general negative feeling of modding in the community. Particularly on the forums.

My clash motivation is sitting quite low on the pecking order at the moment.
