Introducing the Friendly Challenge!

This is the one thing that I felt clash of clans needed.

I don't see any issue with this. One of my biggest issues, is the lack of ability to practise without losing tons of resources. For me I enjoy spending time practising and improving my techniques.

I think they need to implement maybe the ability to attack your own base however. That would be more beneficial for personal improvement. However I can see that deterring players from actually using the clan to help each other.

Will there be anything else? Like another thing released tomorrow?

Cuz just one thing doesn't seem deserving of a resource boost and the term "update"

Actually, we have gem collectors now. They are just single use, and hidden in bushes :)

I'm really glad they are doing this. There is a lot of talk about "unfair" and "abuse" for war... What? I don't understand. This is totally fair. Everyone can use this feature. The reason it was unfair when people were using Fluffy Bunnies was because not everyone had access to it, and it was against the rules. This is fair and cannot be "abused". People can spend their time trying to make up bases that are hard to attack, or attacking bases that are similar to war bases of the opposing team (if they want to spend the time). That's GREAT! I don't have the time to do that each war, but someone who does SHOULD win more wars. More planning and prep time they put in can pay off. Plus for large wars, thats a coordination NIGHTMARE getting everone to make the right bases and challenge each other until they get it right.

This is a big change and will be lots of fun. My clan will mock up a FEW bases each war to try and 3-star some TH10s, but no way this wrecks the game.

Thank you supercell! Not sure what happened that you started adding cool stuff like reduced army cook times and the ability to attack bases for practice, but i'm glad it's happening!! I'm, playing more than ever with these reduced cook times.

The planning aspect you speak of is a joke. It's a slippery slope, once you start, others follow suit. Then everyone does it just to be able to compete. Soon all bases must be done this way. Good bye clanwars.

If anything the proper fair play clans (those who wont mod enemy war bases) will be the actual losers. These are what I suspect are the large portion of the player base. Maybe i'm wrong and more than 50% of clash of clans users use mods?

The process of sandboxing for war takes quite a bit of time, and was probably used by modders. Given how obviously big of an issue that was, we can clearly see that this could easily happen in this scenario. Therefore any argumentation regarding the dedication of a player to do this is invalid.

This is not about "fair". This is about taking something away from people... The work and time they invested in making war bases and learning to be better attackers. This takes the shine off wars now. Bottom line. People can argue and say this is great. Well no it is not and what is right or wrong (good/bad) does not change person to person. This is not good/bad because you personally like/hate it. This is bad because it is removing a skill level requirement from all of us just by its nature and also gives a disadvantage to those of us who do not WANT to use this feature. So, many may say... adapt, grow, be the real chief...etc. Right, I hear you. But realize that just because this is the way it will be does not make it "right". It will be tainted and worth less. At least to me. I can only hope that SC reads any/all of the posts by people who are legitimately concerned here. Not happy about this. And to think say that this will not be abused in war is a lie (or lying to yourself).

The question I want answered is will the devs all take a vacation after this update drops like they did in December? Cuz that one worked out so well.
