I'm sure people would be doing that, but they would have to be very dedicated. Also, you would still need similar level defenses, cc troops and one tesla in a spot that you don't think it would be, could completely screw everything up. But like I said, a limit on how many attacks per hour or day would completely stop it from being useful as a war tool.

Doesn't have to match exactly. If I get to run on a base layout over and over again I can tweak army spells entry points etc... Doesn't need to match. Additionally all you need to do is send in a scout during war to build the traps in then you have that as well.

Teh he solution is just have it turned off during war. Then it's very cool for practice

I have been happy with the game these past few weeks. It's been very interesting and fun filled it's has started to work again for me. But this new update has me worried. It seems that yes it has a lot of positives and I guess they will help build the player base and quality of the game. But this will affect wars in the exact same way that we have wanted to avoid and that is to have people practice war attacks. So the way I see it is, if this feature is to be added to clash the only way to protect clan wars is, make this feature in such a way that you cannot do it when a war is ongoing prep day or war day and through this I think this upgrade could work. Thanks for the last few upgrades they have been great, hope this upgrade comes with the necessary steps to save wars.

Sc must have actually lost a ton of money banning modders. That's why the made a sandbox update to cater to the cheaters. My clan will be friendly challenging our opponents copied bases constantly now to stay competitive in a changing war community. Many good war clans will too. It really doesn't take long to copy a layout once you screenshot it.
Edit: personally I think it's a bad idea they need to make it where you can only challenge with a base that has been in your collection for 48 hrs to prevent sandbox war practices. I love the idea of attacking clan mates bases hate the idea of my opponents practicing on our bases and vice versa.

-Your friend needs to have similar hero levels to war target
-similar building levels
-a base needs to be pretty predictable so you can have a good idea where the traps are
-having to build a base every two days
-Having to build said new base with friend who needs to be online and such to coordinate.

There are also some positives that come from this that I considered...
-The obvious one of course practice
-Faster new base and new army comp trends
-Building better bases to counter whatever the meta may be at that time, and a counter that counter and so on.
-Faster detection of AI issues, and other bugs so they can be fixed.
-Overall fun with clan mates.

There may be more negatives and positives but let's try and be objective and not be clouded by how sour modders have made us.

See the problem with so many people saying it takes too much time to abuse still admit it can be abused. And there's always room for people who have wayyyyy more time on their hands than I do. The fact that a loophole exists at all for players to gain an advantage is something that should be addressed beforehand, especially in a strategy game as competitive and skill based as CoC.

Everyone can be a modder now, and it's encouraged by Supercell. That's a big difference.

I read the news article. Softbank the controlling company in supercell is trying to sell supercell for 5 billion dollars. And they are boasting specifically that they have 100 million users a day playing.

And how to boost that 100 million players a day? Oh... I don't know 1 gem boosts and Add a modding system. Yeah I think that will about push it to 150 million a day.

We are nothing more than sheep in their game. They don't care about you ..they don't care about me... and 3 days ago when this news article posted... they don't care about supercell.

They want the 5 billion in cash simple as that.

What we all can hope and pray for is that the company that purchases supercell..actually cares about us.

From what I understood about xmod, this is as close as you can get. They had to send in troops to see what was in CC and can scout bombs / teslas with just a little more effort.

At any rate, I really hope you are right in that there will be safeguards for war.

With xmod, you didn't even have to send in troops to see traps and CC troops. Just drop a barb in the corner and "end battle." One will not be able to do this.

Also, Xmod let you take a snapshot of the base you're targetting and immediately/instantly recreate it down to every structure and wall level. One will not be able to do this.

With Xmod, you can sandbox practice on a TH3 burner account by setting everything to max level, you can even do 100 pekka raids. One will not be able to do this.

And that's not even getting into OTHER possible protections, such as a cooldown, unable during battle day, etc., etc. In short, I think it's FAR too soon to declare Clan Wars dead and this announced update "the death of the game" (which is what people here say about EVERY update).

"They" is the other clan who will be sandboxing your base. It wasn't hard to understand... Maybe you should reread.
