Gem store: themed villages

Hello fellow clashers!


The gem store is, in its' current state, rather empty. Personally I feel no urge to purchase gems since there is nothing in it that patience will not grant me. So, here is a sales purposal to Supercell:


If I were to ever open my wallet in the gem store it would be to make my game differ slightly from the rest of the players. I know that you pour some time into making your game what it is, but after a while it really gets boring for the eyes. So, if you were to make themes for our villages and armies I am sure that more people would like to actually buy things from the store without feeling guilty. In the store:


Goblin's Nest: Everything in the village is themed towards 'use what you can find'; walls are made of different types of woods with tribal paintings. Barracks look like deep underground pits where goblins are summoned. The Barbarian King is made into a Troll King.


Hall of the Damned: Everything in the villiage is themed towards classic diabolic things. Burning barracks, skeleton barbarians. A demon lord as the Barbarian King. Walls are always in dark colors, maybe even glowing?


City of Light: Everything in the village is themed towards ancient Greece; white stones and tidy looking buildings.


Maybe even the default map should be altered? Ravaged battlefield for the goblins? A brown, earthy-looking map for the Undead to dwell? Please contriubute with both ideas and feedback!

You can always buy builder huts! I don't think it should be payed for with gems. I like how virtualky everything can be earned without paying for gems.

Clarification: This topic regards graphics, variations, animations, gem store diversity, game design.

Yes, it is good to not be forced to buy gems, but having different themes for your bases would DEFINITELY be a gem item. There is no way it would fit as a resource item.

Ermm.. it's a good idea... but probably not so much that it change the layout of all building because it would be confusing raiding different layout village... probably just a small addon like snow or different tree/bushes is enough... because it could make the game heavy (new sprites and animation)....

That is not a problem in any other game that uses multiple skins, i.e. Starcraft, League of Legends, etc. Also, storages and collectors will still have to show that they contain resources so there will always be something telling you what is hiding under the new skin. Better even, they could make the skins trial based, for like 2-3 days per skin so people get a feeling for them and familiarize themselves with what the buildings look like :)

I see what you are saying.

But I'd rather the devs spending time on improving the game mechanics rather then minor details such as this on the side.

wait so is this like a cosmetic thing in the sense where it is just the skins of the village itself? if so i like the idea, but i feel like they should be fixing the problems already in the game rather than adding things that are "cool but we could live without"

Like the idea! Maybe Supercell should implement these idea ? ;D

Well of course! I'm not saying they shouldn't keep tweaking the game. Just because the game is flawed doesn't mean we can't request more content. There's not just one person working at Supercell, so they can manage both. Alas, increasing gem purchases will lead to them being able to hire more hands, and more hands will lead to a better game :)

Read my previous response. It's not one OR the other. And after all, this is the subforum for Ideas & Festure Requests, yes?

Good idea. But one question. Would this only apply to your village, or be more like a texture pack?
