Let's Make Clash Great Again
- Hi, my name is Joe :) and I am associated with the elite war clan community. Out of respect for the clan I am in, I will not release the clan title. However, if these following topics create a spark in the clash community, or if people care, I will reveal more details about the clan, the ideas listed, and why I believe these ideas are important to clash.
- I have been playing clash for over two years and have a few suggestions that could help the game. I am going to try and keep this short, but I've got many ideas. Whether you find these ideas interesting or not, please let me know in the comments below. Keep in mind that these ideas are brainstorms, and I am open to corrections. I understand that some of the ideas are recommended as "not to post about" because they may have been suggested already. However, my ideas are explained in greater detail with the intentions of avoiding some of the problems associated with earlier posts. Also, ideas such as a war tournament is not something that could simply be explained in a short reply, while regarding all the aspects of cheating and other implications, so I decided to make my own thread. I hope you enjoy :).
Ideas:
1) Resurrection Spell - A Spell that players can cook in the spell factory that costs 250K elixir and 5% Dark Elixir of the heroes most recent upgrade cost. For example, if the last hero upgrade was 100k DE. The spell would cost 250k elixir and 5k de. The cook time would be 1 hour and it will not take up a spell slot during the attack. Once the spell is created, a pop-up icon appears on the hero mat for the player to press. When pressed, the spell will regenerate the hero for 1 attack only. It does not allow the hero to work on defense, it only appears on the player’s next attack. The main purpose of this update is to allow players to attack in wars while upgrading their heroes. Currently, level 40 heroes take 250 days of sleep time to max out. Are you about to sit out of war for 250 days? The answer to that question is an obvious no, but then are you forced to find a clan that does not consider war as a top priority? Another valid point is farming without heroes. Farming for loot without heroes can be a tedious part of the game. With no heroes, a player is forced to use a goblin, archer, barbarian, or other level one-tier army composition. In my opinion, I do not believe many players look forward to this aspect of the game. In fact, I think this is exactly why many people end up quitting. The regeneration spell can create new farming techniques, pushing strategies, competitive wars, and provide longevity for the game. If people stick out the sleep time of the game, specifically for hero times, maybe they will have a reason to spend gems in the long run :D.
2) Highlight Reel - Create a replay section that players can edit and save onto their profile. This will allow players to create their own highlight reel for others to view. Top war clans can view a players highlight reel and gain an idea on how well the person attacks. Of course, this provides no money for supercell. However, this will help mold a competitive war clan community, which in my opinion will help the game grow tremendously.
3) War Streaks - What is the purpose on going on a 50 war win streak :saywhat:? Honestly, there is no reason to try and acquire 50 consecutive wins in a row. However, it would be nice to create a war loot bonus increase for win streaks. Every war that is won above a war streak of 3, should earn the clan a 1% loot increase. So, 4 win streak = 2% loot increase. 5 streak = 3% loot increase, etc..
4) War Tournament- This is a concept that I would like to see implemented the most. I understand that this idea was probably suggested already, but I think there are a few key points in this war tournament suggestion that could help. The main concept of the war tournament is to have a 28-day event, similar to the trophy competition, followed by a 2-day break for clans to reset war timers.
Tournament Brackets: The Tournament brackets can be based on war-weight. For example, if you click one of your storage's during war day you can determine your war weight. If there is 20,000 gold, and you have 4 storage's+ a town-hall which serves as another storage, then your war weight is 100,000 (20,000 x 5 storage's). The easiest way for me to explain the next part is to imagine the war brackets like the tournament brackets in the sport boxing (Heavy-weight, middle-weight, light-weight, and feather-weight).
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE WAR IDEA BEFORE OFFERING CRITICISM THAT REGARDS A WAY THAT A CLAN CAN CHEAT THE SYSTEM, OR GAIN AN ADVANTAGE.
• Clans between an average of 70,000-79,999 war weight will be in the feather-weight bracket.
• 80,000-89,999 falls into the light-weight bracket.
• 90,000-99,999 is middle-weight bracket.
• 100k-110k is heavy-weight bracket.
- The war weight will adjust as the clan members adjust. For example, if a clan tries to cheat and put only th8s in the clan on march 1st (new war tournament), then recruit all th11s. The war weight will change to place them into the appropriate bracket.
Point System of the Tournament: To earn any points, the clan search must be a minimum of 40 members (prevents people from doing 10 man wars and farming easy points).
• War win = 100 Points.
• 3 star on an opponent feather-war weight = 1 point.
• 3 star on an opponent light-war weight = 2 points.
• 3 star on an opponent medium-war weight = 4 points.
• 3 star on an opponent heavy-war-weight = 10 points.
• War challenges: An option to challenge other war clans. If a clan is ranked inside of the Top 200 war points, then they can ONLY CHALLENGE other clans in the top 200. This will prevent top war clans from earning easy points from lower-leveled clans, or clans that are made from friends to help them win. If they do not want to challenge other clans, then they can search regularly. Clans outside of the top 200 are free to challenge anyone in their own league that they choose too. Each clan is allowed ONEchallenge per season to each clan (1 challenge per clan prevents clans from farming points off of each other, plus it prevents clans from spamming each other's inboxes). The clan that wins the challenge wins 5 points. For example, if clan ranked #198 challenges #2. The winning clan is awarded 105 points (100 for the win, 5 more for the challenge). This is not meant to be a tremendous bonus, but instead to act as a slight incentive to encourage competitive wars to those that wish to be highly ranked.
• Ending a war streak: If a clan defeats an opposing clan that is on a winning streak; they are awarded 10% of the streak points. For example, if a clan wins against a clan on a 30 win streak, they are awarded 3 extra points.
• Perfect War: If the entire enemy side is 3-stared than the clan receives a bonus +5 points.
The result of all of the scoring is to hopefully earn the clan a spot in the top 200 similar to the trophy contest. There will be four brackets that the clan can view the top clans. At the end of the tournament the winning clan for each bracket can receive a reward, such as gems, elixir, gold, or dark elixir.
Game Adjustments:
• A feature to highlight certain section(s) of a base layout while in the editing mode and simply drag it to a new location.
• The abilty to edit certain areas of the clan description. For example, I would have to delete this entire message to edit the word "ability" located in the front.
• An in-game stat that displays the range of each troop. For example, Archer - 3 sq. This can help plan out war attacks more precisely.
• Lower the elixir cost of archers. I am currently a TH11 and I literally lose elixir if I attack anything other than TH11s. The only reason for me to attack at the moment is to get more resources and upgrade my heroes. I simply cannot trophy push for the next ~100 days because my heroes are upgrading. I cannot farm on other th11s with no heroes either, most th11s have their resources protected and golems backed by wizards only gets me about 30%. I could use spells, but that costs a lot of elixir which renders the purpose of farming and makes it relatively pointless. Archers also have no purpose for war so... no idea the purpose of them being in the game specifically at level 7.
• Give players with no heroes something to do. PLEASE. There is not a lot of players that want to goblin farm for the first 250 days as they cannot war with no heroes, and cannot compete in any sort of trophy pushing (or at least not be good at). I suggested a regeneration spell above ^^^ please read.
• Add a war-base reservations list. (A simple option to put your name on the enemy's base on the war map). I understand that "Clash-caller" is already a thing, but this would make reserving a base less of a hassle which could lead to more clans wanting to compete in competitive wars.
• Add a war chat that is separate from regular chat that allows members to specifically talk about war strategy and avoid common chat stuff.
• Add an automatic search filter that players can use possibly for a price of gems that for a more convenient way of farming. (I don't think there is a single player in the entire game that likes "nexting" for hours). For example, 10 gems per one hour boost, and it would allow the player to edit a search filter that next's bases until it finds a base of 1000 dark elixir or more. This would allow players to farm while doing homework or other in real life complications.
• Add rewards related to being a higher level. Currently there is no point in being level 150. Make an elite global chat of level (example level 150+), where high-level players can communicate with one another. This could also serve as a way for SC to get positive feedback from players who have put in a lot of time into the game and are very knowledgeable about the game. I believe the players that put in the most time have the best understanding of where the game needs improvement. Other games that I've played in the past have added a high level chat (the requirement to enter the other chat is a minimum of 2 years of playing), and the ideas that other players have suggested have the changed the game forever. I would love to see SC listening to the players that have supported the game the most.
• Add an in-game recruiting thread that players can post on to recruit other players. There is no point in having a global chat currently because it is majority of the time being spammed with "join us." This will help bring the community together as the "join us" spam will be gone and players can have a nice chat with one another. (I understand there is a forum for this, but this is a mobile game, so I think that the majority of players are casual and do not want to spend their leisure time doing research to find a competitive clan).
I understand that this is a business, but a business only runs with a community. I feel like there is currently no community. There is a forum and everything where people can talk, but the closest thing that this game has to a community is the random spurts of Youtube communities that are built mainly to represent their own clan. It would be nice if players could have some in-game platforms to communicate with one another, and more competition that the community would be able to band together and spark the community every now and then. I believe that the majority of these ideas can help do that. Sorry for so much bold and colored text, but I like it :p.
