correct. and it makes logical sense. if u add an extra star, why does it matter about % anymore? u win by a star. % no longer matters.
Freyja1 is correct. Go through the war map, the destruction percentage is always done on the numbers reported for the best attack, which is the one with the most stars. Add up all of the percentages and divide by the number of bases and you number used in the tiebreaker. We routinely do this calculation in reverse so that we can figure out how many stars we need to get to the tiebreaker, and how many additional destruction percent to win the tiebreaker. And also which bases we should attack, if we have more targets than attacks remaining. Very clear most of our opponents do not think to do this. Must be all of the kids who didn't pay attention in math class because it wasn't going to matter in their life
Here's what Anoushka had to say when the tiebreaker was first introduced:
That "in their best attacks" part implies a 50% 2 star replaces a 99% 1 star.Quote:
Total Destruction is now a Clan Wars tiebreaker – if the score is even at the end of the war, the Clan with more destruction percentage in their best attacks will be the victor!
So what I am getting here is the following. Let say the game is tied they have a 1 percent higher than us. If there was only one base at the top left that best attack was an 80 percent 2 star. Lets say base number 2 is a th9. The only members I have left are th7 members and some th6.
1. Should I have my members attack that base number 2 to add percentage destruction. ?
or/and
2. Should I have my lower members attack a base that has already been 3 starred to gain more destruction percentage? I believe we tried this and the percentage did not go up. I even remember on member saying that attack did not make our percentage higher and he attacked an already 3 starred base.
3. In and event that both teams have got the maximum stars. I guess the team that wins would be the team that attacked the most, hence we should not have any member not attack in this situation.
Having your lower members attack would do nothing for your % destruction because they wouldn't be beating the previous attack. In order for the % destruction of your clan to progress you NEED to BEAT the previous attack. A 0 star, 49% attack will not add anything to a base that's been 1, 2 or 3 starred already. 0 stars does not BEAT the previous attack so the % destrcution is not added to the totals
attacking a base that has been 3 starred is useless. How do you beat a 3 star attack?
and no, in the event both teams get perfect wars or there is an EXACT tie in % destruction it's a TIE and both teams win streaks are reset and both teams recieve 40% of total loot bonus
1. If your TH7s and 6s are capable of getting more than an 80% 2 star on a TH9 then go for it.
2. If a base has been 3 starred then the destruction percentage will already be 100%. No increase is possible.
3. If both teams have maximum stars no increase in either stars or percentage destruction is possible and it will be a tie. The amount of attacks is irrelevant.
All the above has already been stated in this thread.
It's simple math-
Tiebreaker math works like this. Take the total amount of bases and divide that into 100. So in a 15 person war each base is worth 6.6666%
The best outcome from each base is recorded, meaning the outcome with the highest stars and the most percentage.
So your war was lost because on the 1 non 3 starred base you got an 88% and it looks like your enemy got a 98 or 99% on its only 2 starred base.
