Can someone explain to my the tie percentage situation? We lost by 0.07 percent

Hey everyone, I need some information.

We are tied in my sister clan. It was 44 stars vs 44 and we lost by 0.06 percent. we had 99.20 They had 99.93 They had one star left on our base number 2. And we had one star left on our base number 1. They had 27 out of 30 attacks and we had 23 out of 30.

Can someone explain how percentage destruction works?

Would like to know in the future. We rarely get ties but this happened today.

You lost by .73% and its generated by adding the total destruction on each base to give the total destruction percentage I believe.

It's simple math. Add the highest destruction for all of the bases then divide it by the total amount of bases you have in war.

For example, I do a 10 man war and 8 were 100%, 1 is 99%, and another is 79%. Add them all up and you get a total of 978. Now divide that by the number of people in war which is 10 and I get 97.8%

So is it possible that our lower th members if they attacked more, would have brought up the percentage regardless of which base they attacked or should they have attacked base one with 2 stars in it?

It would not have made a difference if the lower town halls had attacked a base that was already at 100%. To increase total destruction when there is only 1 star missing, you need to hit that base for the amount of stars it has been hit, and get a higher percentage. Hope that makes sense.

Sounds like it was a nail biter of a war... those are my favorites.

It takes the highest % single attack on each base for the calculation, even if that attack doesn't have the most stars.

0 star attacks also count to % fwiw. so leaving a base unattacked pretty much kills your chances of winning a close war.

To the best of my knowledge this is wrong, it's the highest % for the number of counted stars

Yes, pretty sure a 50% 2 star will replace a 99% 1 star... making the star count go up by one, but the total destruction to drop.

You want your lower bases to attack the base with the lowest %.
So if the score is tied and you have a th9 2 starred with let's say 60% then you want to bring that % up. Get your th8s on it gowiping or whatever.
if you have a choice of rasing a % or adding a star, you obviously want to add the star.
If you only need let's say 2 stars and the top guy doesn't think he can get 2 on his equal but can add the 2 lower down, you can send a low guy on the top base for a high % 0 star to add % destruction while your top guy adds the 2 stars.
