Just a question that keeps popping up the last couple of days. When a farmer is away a farm used to seem frozen until the farmer logged in again. Crops didn't grow, animals kept awake and machines kept working.
But now it seems to me that crops can switch to their final stage of growth, animals start running and eating before falling asleep and machines stop working. However boats still don't arrive until the arrival of the farmer.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Things still happen "normally" on my farm. Crops have always grown while I'm away. It may appear "frozen" to people visiting my farm in the state it was when I last logged on, but all the various timers keep running even though I'm not there.
No, the farm doesn't freeze when you leave. If u have stuff in the machines, the time keeps going.Quote:

The animals don't go to sleep until they eat. So if you don't feed them, they won't be sleeping. Sometimes I go back on and the animals are all sad signifying that they are hungry and want food. Sometimes what I do is when I play before I go to bed, I feed the animals before they are even ready. So when they get hungry after I turn off the game, they eat and then will shortly go to sleep. When I go back on the next day, they are asleep and I wake them up. They don't wake up on their own.
The machines don't stop working when you leave the game. The countdown keeps going. I've got the advice to produce the items that take a long time, 3-5 hours, at least, overnight, so they would be ready to collect the next day. Same with the crops. No, no, the machines keep going as long as you have things in it.
Seems to me the OP is saying they have noticed this when visiting neighbour's farms. Even though they know the farmer hasn't logged on, successive visits show the farm advanced in time, rather than frozen. I can't say I have noticed that, but I don't monitor my friend's farms that closely.
I think I know what you mean. My son more or less abandoned his farm but I still went there daily to check boxes and chests. Everything was normal... Fat pigs, bees on hive, horses sleeping, etc. he came back briefly to change the neighborhood settings and, as far as I know, he hasn't been back since but the farm seems very busy and it is like ground hog day with the bees. Every time I go there they are just leaving the nectar bushes. Whether it is 10 seconds, 10 minutes, 10 hours they are in the identical position and only if I remain on the screen do they reach the hive to deposit the nectar. This may be connected to the 'slow bees' problem that others have mentioned. Just a thought. Rose.Quote:

I'm not sure, but what you describe seems to be the normal situation, where it's like a short movie that gets played over and over again until your son logs in again. When my hoodmates leave their farm (for work or whatever), at first you can see the bees flying, but after some time (while the farmer is still away), they stop flying en return to their hives.Quote:

You're right Rose, it's not that important. It's just that I wondered if I was seeing things. Still might be seeing things. Well I guess my hay day friends don't call me weird girl (in Dutch) for nothing :p
After the last update my bees stop collecting nectar when I leave hayday my wife noticed it first. They used to collect till the hives were full. Is this the new rule or a glitch?
