Good mornin'. Personally I think those 24 h from 1 derby ends, till a new derby starts, are not enough for us to remake our barn storage with products. So, my idea is to give us another 24 h to the break between the derby.;)

Not a bad idea, however that will impact derby by either.
a) making derby 1 day shorter.
b) having derby start on a different day all the time.
I take comfort in knowing the next derby always starts Tuesday night [my time], and I have 6 days to complete my tasks. No way I could get them done in 5.

Besides, derby doesn't go by barn collections. You have to accept the task, first, before you collect the items. It has to be made first. The MATERIALS, can be made in advance, like the lures and mining materials, but not the items, themselves.
You don't have to start as soon as the Derby starts, your Derby can be as many or as few days as you wish. Plus, production doesn't stop just because the Derby is on.
