i don't like the Derby and there are more players who agree with me. It's consuming lot's of time, it's really boring with the same tasks and for the most part it's not fair because the spending diamonds brigade spoils this!!
i know you can easily opt-out but that is not what i want. I have a NH and i want the option that nobody can play the Derby in my NH. Kill Switch for the leader.
What if a NH has players who really do want to play derby for whatever reason and the leader goes and does the kill switch?
I think that's a bad idea. So many things can go wrong with this. If you choose not to do derby. Don't do it. What difference does it make? Opt yourself out. Or make a new nh where the rule is no one does derby.
Why would someone else doing derby bother you? I do not do trucks, but do not force others to not do trucks. Many, many people enjoy derby. Let them be. Ban discussing in chat if you want to be petty, but allow others to play as they wany.
That's weird. Why would you make EVERYONE in your neighbourhood not do the derby? You don't have to play, but that doesn't mean nobody else should get to enjoy it.
I completely agree with everyone else. By "flipping a switch", as you say, to remove the ability for anyone in your NH to participate in the derby, you are taking away the rights of others to play any and/or all aspects of the game the way they choose...quite dictatorial IMO.
If no one in your NH wishes to participate in the Derby, simply don't play, but if someone does wish to participate, to help them have the best advantage possible, everyone who doesn't want to participate should make sure they are opted out.

You don't want to play, but you don't like the opt out option? Why would you want to stop other people playing the Derby?
The derby can cause some problems in the neighborhood. That's for sure. Participants may not help non-participants as much, because they have to use their supplies for tasks, and they may constantly be requesting help from non-participants to help fulfill tasks. I agree with Besta, maybe form a new neighborhood that bans the derby. It's not for everyone, and that's ok. I'm sure there are a lot of players who feel the same way.

You could say the same thing about Derby serious hoods that require participants to do 320 point tasks only. This OP just wants the exact opposite. There are neighborhoods to fit everyone's style. It's just a matter of finding them or creating them.:oQuote:
