When Leader Leaves Clan.....Solution to accidentally losing Leader Title

When the leader of the clan leaves the clan if you forget to assign leader it randomly goes to one of the co leaders. This would be a simple fix:

When leader leaves clan and has "NOT" assigned a new leader a pop up box comes up prompting them Which co leader should leader go to. This would put the leader in a position never to forget and then they would simply pick what account it belongs on. if there are no members in the clan except the leader obviously would be no choice as leaving is closing the clan!

Not too fused the the idea either way, but to clear something up...

It doesn't go to a random coleader.

it goes to the coleader with the highest trophies
If there are no coleaders it goes to the elder with the highest trophies
If there are no elders it goes to the member with the highest trophies

Actually you are sadly MISTAKEN.

We have had this happen in our clan more than once (we are five clans so we move between a lot). And it has gone to a th 3 it has gone to th 8 and currently went to th 11 with masters and we have a co in legend league. This is a false assumption people make.

I've tested it myself too

Has always worked exactly as I stated for me
Either I'm lucky, you're lying or it's changed since I tested it

(in any case I don't much care, anyone with coleaders they don't trust shouldn't be leaving their clan)

100% is not based on trophies
Maybe it is not random, but only thing I can think it would be based on is longevity in clan. Either way this would be a great change when you have an empire of multiple clans, as this has happened to me as well

Well I assure you I am not lying. Would have no reason to make that up. I am glad it worked for you the way stated. But I can tell you that u simply got lucky :) And obviously we don't have co's we do not trust but that does not mean we want leader to randomly go to any co in the clan! This is merely a feature suggestion - nothing more or less! Thanks for your wisdom and insights :).

I think would be a simple addition and would save a headache of running peeps down to fix it.

Solution: Make a th3 that you have join the clan or always stay in the clan and promote it to leader

It has happened to me as well, when I left temporarily and forgot to reassign leader, it defaulted to the co-leader who had stayed in the clan the longest without leaving. It has nothing to do with which co had the most trophies. The problem was, the default leader was in a timeline on the other side of the world from me, so it took a while to catch up with him. Too bad there isn't a succession plan, where the leader could fill out blank boxes of up to 3 co-leader's tag numbers of who he wants to replace him, if/when he leaves the clan. The pop up reminder suggested would probably be easier for SC to program, though.

Thanks for the reply Tutu6! Succession plan nice but would mean u have to maintain if clan dynamic changes that is why i thought the simple pop up would be handy!

MyDanes isn't lying:
The co who has been in the clan the longest will becomes leader.
If there's no co then the oldest elder will become leader.
If there's no elder, then a member will become leader.
If there's no member, the clan is deleted.
