New game mode: Town Hall Defense
So I was thinking of ways that would REALLY make me want to log on and play clash without going to war or everlasting farming like most people do, including myself. I thought back to childhood memories when I'd play "tower defense" like games and thought, "What if you could defend against an onslaught of GM made troops?" Like when we saw at ClashCon with the "Super Pekka" or the "Mother Lava Hound" except they would have a set path and you could place your defensive structures and they would try to get to your Town Hall before you destroyed them? It's an idea that I think would be pretty neat for the Clash community and something that could be expanded upon.
You could also give players the ability to modify and use Clash content (i.e. Like when I used to play Starcraft back in the days, players could make "defense" maps where you'd level troops up in small mini games and get strong enough to take down computer-generated armies). I think this would expand CoC with individual customization and open up a Clah niche that has not yet been exposed.
In summary:
1. Tower defense-style
2. Computer generated armies that take a set path to destroy your precious Town Hall
3. Place your own structures at key points along the way to maximize defense. (for hordes you'd place wizard towers at intersections, for strong single troops something like cannons or archer towers).
4. You could add a touch of customization by having "power ups" when you complete certain levels. (i.e. cannons do double damage, or shoot twice as fast for a certain time period or next level).
5. Once a certain number of "minions" reach your Town Hall, it would blow up and you'd lose.
6. Possible expansion into multiplayer territory if you could play defense WITH YOUR FRIENDS and work together to defend against armies.
7. GM's could add to the community by creating their unique ideas to troops and making them have special powers (i.e. Clashcon Lava Hound blowing up into more lava hounds, etc.)
8. Endless customization both in single player and multiplayer modes.
p.s. I made an account on forums so I could maybe get this idea floating around. Please be gentle with criticisms but I think this would bring out more "softcore" players into the game and maybe expand the whole "family gaming" idea.
