I may hide some machines, but I do use them. All my machines are in production. Even if you can't see the machine, you can still tap where it is and it will open so that you can load products into the queue. When the products are ready, they appear to be floating in front of whatever I am using to hide the machine. Usually trees. The reason I hide them is they spoil the look of my farm. When the soup kitchen was a fun old-fashioned black stove, I proudly displayed it. I loved how it looked. I suppose the new, "improved" soup kitchen is supposed to have a "retro" look. To many of us, it looks like a plastic appliance that would be sold for a Barbie doll. My farm is not retro, it's traditional. I also hide anything pink except the coffee kiosk. That includes the jam maker, sewing machine, the UFO hatmaker, and the candy maker. I'm not fond of any of the pastel appliances like the soup kitchen, smoothie maker, sugar mill and the candle maker. They are hidden, too. I usually have some item near where they are hidden to remind me they are there. Like the snail in a hat is right next to the tree the hatmaker is hidden behind.
