Report suspicious attack
Sorry if this is a duplicate, I did a quick search on the "READ BEFORE POST" post and didn't find this one. Also I raised this in the support channel and one of you suggested me to post here so I would assume this is new.
The idea is that, since you are claiming to promote fair game play, I believe that there is no better way than leveraging the players to do this. Currently the players have no good way of reporting a suspicious attack, other than recording a video, put in on youtube and send you guys the link. I find that highly troublesome and avoidable. You could have put a "REPORT" button at the replay screen, which can collect the information you need to reconstruct the battle, like the attacker ID, the defender's layout, the troop used.
Since you can use them to "replay" the attack, you must be able to send those through some channel, so that your support staff can use them to tell if this is cheating. You could even examine these attacks to find more clues on how to block the robots. So this is feasible.
Abuse issues? Punish those abusers the same way you punish the users of the robots.
Manpower issue? Well I agree this involves more manpower than the automatic approach, but unless you want to shut the door for players to report it, this is still way better than the current way, which requires both effort from the player AND your manpower. Let's not forget the difficulty to automatically detect and block all robots.
If you really want to promote fair game play, do it.

FYI, all these start because I was attacked as recorded in this video

Does it look suspicious to you? It surely does to me.

What is suspicious about that to you? I see a well deployed barch on a base that wasnt worth barching. He got very little loot and barely won. Hardly something to be upset about.
The troops are not being deployed simultaneously like with a bot. you can see how they spread in a row. With a bot, they would appear to be getting deployed at the same time. Like I said - well deployed - but not worth wasting the troops on that base.

About this attack? No I'm not upset. If anything, I'm happy to get a shield with so little loss.
I think any smarter bots nowadays would not do simultaneous spread anymore. If supercell says they are going to ban them, I think this is one of the first things they check for. I just don't think human fingers can deploy troops in such a nearly perfect line.
With all those said, it is not the point of this post. It was the fact that reporting them requires so much effort that upset me. I don't know how perfect the automated solution is, but I still think it is better to make it easier for players to report issues.

Personally, I think the attacks look suspicious. However, even the most experienced player isn't really capable of detecting mod or bots, and the average player's opinion definitely doesn't hold water. A "report" button would only inundate support with false reports. If it were capable of detecting mods and bots with the naked eye, then there's no question that software can be programmed to do the same. Trust in Supercell's abilities and leave the detection and punishment to them.
