Permanent ban for persistent trolls in neighborhood

We've had problems with persistent trolls in our hood. One has been bothering us for two years now, the other for 6 months. It takes away the fun of the game, we need a way to keep them out permanently.

Both have broken Hay Day's terms of service yet Support seems powerless to help unless they are being outwardly abusive in chat.

Troll #1 - said he was 9 years old when he started bothering us. This is the one who keeps coming back, even 2 years later, so now he's 11. Too young to be on Hay Day. His first rash of annoyances was to ask for valuable items then not buy them once we posted them. He'd pretend to have Internet problems and then do the same thing. He would also steal items meant for other members. Since he was our first troll, we gave him many chances but he kept doing it. He wasn't connected to Facebook so he'd just change his farm name and come back in. We finally changed our permissions to 'request to join' and memorized features of his farm. That kept him out for awhile, but 6 months later we had forgotten him and he came back in. We kicked him again, made reports on him, and didn't see him for many months. By then he attached his farm to his mother's Facebook account so we didn't recognize him. He wasn't as bad this time but he messed up the derby for us. I never want to see him again, but now I have to stay on heightened alert for him. No fun.

Troll #2 - said he was 13 years old, was in our hood for awhile, played nicely, then he STOLE MY ACCOUNT. How do I know? I was locked out of my account and his fb profile pic and name were on my farm. Meanwhile his fb account wasn't attached to his farm anymore and he wasn't active at all on either accounts. It took 3 days for Hay Day to restore my account, thank goodness they were able to restore it but it was nerve racking. Of course I kicked him as soon as I got back in the game, but he's following me. That's fine, I thought, that way I can keep an eye on him in case he tries to sneak back in -- his fb was removed from his account shortly after this, and I didn't want a repeat of troll #1. Well now he keeps harassing me by changing his farm name and buying stuff in my stand. He is begging to come back in, this has been going on for 5 months. We've changed our level requirement to a really high level so he can't even request to join, but is that fair to us?

These two boys have been horrible. I contacted support and there's nothing they can do. I told them everything I've written here. I asked they be permanently banned from our hood, nope. I even requested they change our hood name so they can't track us...nope. The Support person was super nice, really tried to help and even expedited my problem, but in the end there isn't much they are allowed to do.

So frustrating. They said it's because "the game is designed to be fair to everyone, so there are no "blocks" or any other restrictions," but is this fair to us? We are being held hostage by these two trolls and there's no way around it. Well, we could abandon our trophies and currently inactive players and start a new hood, but that's a terrible option.

Supercell says they design games that are meant to be played for years, even handed down from one generation to the next, but the idea of either putting up with trolls or constantly moving to dodge them is ridiculous.

Please, please, I'm begging you Supercell, please enact a way for hoods to have permanent bans on persistent trolls. I don't care if it has to go through Support to be enacted, I'm so frustrated with this situation.

You say troll 2 is following you, have you tried deleting him? Or does he come back when you do?

If you tap hold on his avatar, the avatar will turn red and an X will appear and you can delete him by tapping on that X. It will ask you to confirm the deletion.

How did troll 2 steal your account? Did they know your FB password? Or guess it? Or hack your account?

Thanks for the response. If I delete him, I won't be able to keep track of him. His account isn't attached to Facebook so he can change his farm name and come back. OK I'll recognize his farm next week, but what about in 6 months or a year? It's also helpful so we can keep our level to join higher than his.

I'm darned if I do and darned if I don't. I guess I'd rather put up with the harassment than deal with him sneaking in sometime in the future.

He somehow hacked my Hay Day account. He claims he has a friend who works in Support and that's how he gained access, but I have no idea if that's true. He lied so much I don't trust anything he says, but that's the only thing he said that makes any sense.

It's a long story....he's pretending to be innocent, that someone else hacked my account and made it look like him, but he's such a bad liar. Many of the things he said either don't make any sense or make him look even more guilty. There's "another person" who contacted me claiming to be the hacker, but I think it's really him. Same age, from the same country, has the same accent...writes just like him. That's who told me they have a friend in Support who helped them gain access.

I'm confused. 9, 11, 13 years old? And what makes you think they have stolen your account? Change all your passwords. Delete followers you aren't familiar with. Clear out your Facebook friends that are inactive or you aren't familiar with. Same with gamecenter and google plus. Which ever one applies. Post your neighborhood as invite only for a while. Tell all your nh why it has to be that way. Good luck

Only Troll #2 stole my account. It was last year, sometime in November. I was locked out, I could get on Facebook but not on Hay Day. A hood member took a pic of my farm, it had troll #2's profile pic where mine should have been. It also had his name in my stand. I was locked out of my account for 3 days before it was restored. Of course I changed all my pw's immediately.

I kept our nh locked down for several months, invite only. But it's nearly impossible to grow the hood that way so eventually I changed it to ask to join about a month ago.

I have like 350 fb friends, I only use this fb account for playing hay day. I haven't even given it to my real friends. Not sure how clearing them out would help, I know which accounts belong to the hacker, I've unfriended all his accounts. And haven't accepted any new friend requests.

I want to keep Troll #2 as a follower so I can keep track of him. He'll still bother us by trying to join our hood in the future, this will make it easier to identify him.

It sounds like you are doing what you can maybe by following him (-leaving him on your followers tab) you are leaving a door open that he keeps coming back thru. I would take him off your tabs. Keep your neighborhood on invite only and a higher level to join than they are. Another possibility is to disband your nh all together and start fresh. Bring the other members along And just abandon that hood. It does sound extreme but it sounds like it is an extreme situation. Good luck. Keep us updated.

I would second Besta's suggestion. I know you like the idea of growing your NH by making it Request to Join, but this doesn't sound practical for you right now.

Also, are you 100% positive these are kids? It's very possible these are adults pretending to be kids in the hopes you would have pity on them and allow them to get away with things, at least in the beginning. I really think that after 2 years, a kid would have given up and moved on, but an adult may not lose interest as quickly. Just a thought.......

Besta: I'm not very good at forums so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out and offer advice, it means a lot to me.

Here are my choices regarding keeping him on my followers tab:

1. Keep him. So far he's just been changing his farm name to stuff like, "Haylee, let me back in" and buying normal stuff I put up in my stall. It's annoying, but hasn't been a huge problem (yet--but that can be addressed if he causes more problems).

2. Delete him. But then I don't know what level he'll be in the future, what his farm will look like, and if he'll attach it to another fb or gc account. Remember troll #1? He got back in bc I didn't even recognize him anymore.

At this point, I'm thinking I'll keep tabs on him while I can. It's better than the unknown and possibly worse trouble in the future. Both options aren't very good, ideally we should be able to block him from the group.

Yes, starting a new hood is an option too. But do I need to start over every time this happens?

My whole point of posting is to suggest features so Supercell can prevent this type of abuse. Sure I can somehow muddle through this, but it's a drag and I hope Supercell can address these issues so others don't have to go through what I have.
