A temporary one might be helpful. As a leader, I would like to know if my new member was involved in that. I don't want to bring someone into war and they try something and get banned again in war. Maybe keep it until they have had a dozen mod free wars or something like that.

I agree with u permanent would be too much but for the tine they are banned would begreat
Not a modder but this is getting out of hand. As others have said, do the crime do the time. After that you are free as long as you don't have a second strike. So is there a chance you take someone and they get permanently banned, sure. It's going to be a low risk and there are many other reasons someone could miss a war that should be of greater concern. It is just not that big of a deal and easily managed.
Seek justice, not vengeance. Huge difference between the two.
I agree. Supercell is already keeping official records, so they can dole out larger punishments for repeat offenders; there is no reason to continue punishing someone who has already served their official sentence, as long as they keep their nose clean from that point on.
I do like the idea of showing someone as being banned while they're banned, though, as it would allow clan members to differentiate between those in time-out and people who are truly inactive.
