Welcome to Super Logic. This thread will be a lab for clash of clans discovery. To join this super project, you must meet the following requirement.

Yes, 1 requirement. Now, back to the topic. Here at the lab, you will post your latest discoveries in clash of clans. Don't be afraid to post what you have found out. It might be a game-changing discovery. Anyone can post here, but if you have really interesting discoveries in clash, then I will add your name in the Pro Scientists section at the end of this post.

If you would like to be a pro scientist here, you must have at least one tremendous discovery, or a few interesting discoveries. We will also be discussing interesting things in clash. So, go ahead and share your discoveries!

I have discovered that inferno towers obliterate dragons. Therefore, I can come to the conclusion that one should avoid inferno towers with dragons.


The best way to recruit in global chat is to start up a conversation with the person you are trying to recruit. It makes you stand out from the 15 people spamming JOIN ME! JOIN ME! I HAVE BALLOONS!


Also if someone says Hi in global and they don't have a clan, say Hi back instead of saying Join me!


When you are recruiting, raise your trophy level. Although the difference between Silver 1 and Gold 3 is the same as Silver 2 to Silver 1, having a golden league badge will help recruiting tremendously. Get those last trophies you need for a promotion!

Another tip: To use the left and right arrows on the barracks effectively, put all barracks,spell factories and dark barracks in a line. Then train one barbarian,one archer, one goblin,one giant,one spell,one minion,one hog rider etc in that order. Then exit out and look at where the troops are and rearrange them in the order you did it in. Now you can actually use the arrows and not mess up and click on a spell when you didnt mean to.I think flammy did a quick tip video on it, if you cant understand me.

Sandbox Mode

After many observations and thoughts, I've finally put it all together why SuperCell has ruled out Sandbox Mode.

They want us to find out new and different tactics by ourselves. With sandbox mode, all of the game's tactics would be discovered and the game would have no surprise factor in discovery.

Any thoughts on this?

Hey, that's a pretty good discovery. Kill two birds with one stone. A few more of those ideas, and you might make the pro scientist list.

When you upgrade a troop, que your barracks with that troop and when your upgrade finishes the cost of the troop goes up, and then cancel all of your troops and make yourself a small 20k ish Elixir profit.

The closest thing I've got to that is plants tend to appear more often when there is more space for them to spawn.

Give us a few examples of the discoveries you mention in the OP. Then I'll post mine if I've discovered anything similar.

The slower the movement speed of a troop,the slower it can be deployed.(i think)

A Level 5 Lightning can't take out 5 level 5 wizards.(they killed my golem, didn't notice that their were still alive.)

I got crazy secrets but they belong to the clan.

Always have ur troops qued up in barracks, to save time for next battle.

Looking to see if d.e is in drill or storage? Check on top of drill to see if any d.e. on top


Half the battle is knowing where the resources are .....

When your army camp is full, the queued troop cooking time counter starts when you start searching for match.

Say your search for 3 minutes, and battle for 3 minutes, you had goblins queued up in one barrack, it would make you 6minutes * 2 goblins/minute which is 12 goblins.

But if you search for 1 minute, end search, restart searching, the counter resets.

Its not bad for silver 3, about average

When getting close too maxing gold or elixir before a builder is free, stop collection resources from your pumps and mines.

that way, you can still max your farming from other people bases and let your pumps fill up for half a day to a day. Then when the builder is free and you use your resources, collect the full pumps for maximum profits.

Giants train faster per housing space than everything except barbs and minions, a good way to cut down on training time:cool:

Rage spell makes lightning spell stronger.

Archers in the army camps pump their fists 3 times when an army camp is clicked on, but when the archer tower is clicked on, the archers stand there like puppets without an owner.

Rage spell increases wallbreakers blast radius? Maybe...

Well one thing that i have descovered (mainly on failed raids, lol) is that WBs (and other troops) will run to the other side of the base, shoot themselfs out of a cannon to get to another wall instead of blowing up a single wall. I know this is fairly common knolage, but im sure some people didnt know it. It can be use to to things like this

if they are deployed anywhere along that section they will go for the spring. Just a fun little anti WB trick

Two lightning spells still more powerful than a raged single lightning, but if you only have one lightning spell and a rage, i guess it can be worth it..

You need to consider rage spell take a spot in spell factory and cost more than lighting. So it won't be so cool if 1 rage + 3 lighting < 4 lighting.

My discovery:
Lure hero: Find a building that is not in range of any tower and deploy one troop attacking it. Send another unit to attack an building that is close to hero. That should be easy because hero patrols. Your 2nd units dies quickly but hero is engaged. Now hero will go after your first troop no matter how far away between them. This allow you to kill the hero on her/his way to your first troop in an open area. Definitely a game changer :)

Replay: not available after 2 weeks reset, even you haven't watched them.

Invite: You can invite players without clan in league, defense log, and attack log

You can make a bit more elixir by this method I discovered. First, upgrade a troop. Next, just before it finishes, cue up your barracks full of that troop. Afterwards, uncue them and you should have a bit more elixir (because the upgraded troop costs more).

One of the biggest secrets in game!!!! That i knew about but didnt want to reveal. This is what u need to know to make more than a million of gold in 1 hour

i can't believe u revealed this!!!! Smh

Want to test a troop comp see how a revenge works or just have plain fun? When raiding turn on airplane mode and any troops dropped without a connection to the Internet wont remove from your camp and wont lose trophies

Hmmmmm. I wonder if this thread is a good idea! Some of them could be 'fixed'

Want to replace certain clan castle troops with others? Drop your CC in the goblin missions and count the troops as they deploy, when the last unwanted troop deploys, click End Battle. Now you free up those slots and you can fill up your CC with new troops.

Example: You have a 30 slot clan castle with 25 level 6 archers and 5 level 5 archers. You want to strengthen up your clan castle and replace the level 5 archers with level 6's. Drop CC in a goblin mission, the level 5 archers will deploy first, then end battle when the last level 5 archer deploys. If you want to know what order your CC will deploy, highlight it then click info. Troops will deploy from left to right.

pro tip: Gemming gets you places.

Want to add another one:

Use the math to calculate shield time. Ever wondering how much time left in a shield to a player you really really want to revenge? Capture the amount of resource at 2 different time could solve the remaining shield time. I've made it work: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...culate+revenge

Villages with more than two levels lower town hall than attacker are removed from the matchmaking at the sub-200 trophy range.

With the introduction of the witch, SuperCell has shown it is willing to really break the sequence of increasing barracks levels = troops needing more housing space. (the only break in this sequence was gaining WB that need 2 spaces to the giants 5).

Barracks housing space required: 1, 1, 1, 5, 2, 4, 14, 20, 25
DE Barracks housing space required: 2, 6 (wait no- 5), 8, 30, 12

So with the introduction of the witch, I think SC is going to take a break from the arms race of making bigger troops and will now focus (for a time) on diversifying troops in interesting ways.

Clearout easy comparments with Canons, Archer Tower and non defense buildings so Wallbreakers don't get distracted.

I know this does not happen (mostly because a P.E.K.K.A. in CC for defense is a bad idea), but does a lightning spell do 2x damage to a P.E.K.K.A.?

Good question. Maybe I can ask a scientist to perform this in the lab.

Although, this wouldn't be doable without frickin' sandbox mode!!!

Wallbreakers run to the corner of walls because they cannot walk straight. (it has nothing to do with the AI)

I really don't understand it right now.... Why wouldn't a WallBreaker be placed in a single grid line and go straight to the wall? I don't gt how the wallbreaker's path is simulated or programmed. Really strange.

That does not work unfortunately. It just resumes the upgrade when the lab is done 😉

When I tried it way back, my Wizards finished their upgrade after the Lab was upgraded

A well timed raged onto a wallbreaker will 1 hit a lv 8 wall. If placed right this could be a well placed raged, wallbreaker saved and enraged troops entering to attack the enemies defences.

I have also found that early in the morning is a rather good time to attack as people have had their mines/collectors pumping over night and will have a fair amount of extra resources in them.

If your shield is going to end when you are not able to get online it is better to break the shield before exiting as that way when they attacker attacks they can get less loot from mines/collectors/drills.

A level 5 Wallbreaker and a level 5 Rage can almost knock down a level 10 Wall, which means level 9 Walls will be taken down by 1 lv5 Wallbreaker and lv5 Rage

I like the new giant picture. Looks so funny!

In case you haven't noticed, person with mention on thread, i am interested.

If you have a full army camp, you can "bank" some elixir and DE in their respective barracks by queuing with a full army camp. Good for overnight, then in the morning, you take them out of the cue and KA-BLAM! Your elixir has returned, and was saved.

✔ Clan castle troops cant be deployed on decorations :)

✔ Using a rage spell on a healer increases the speed and amount of the heal :p

✔ Using rage spell on witch makes the skeletons spawn faster

✔ Witches are effected by traps even though they float

Looking for an easy distraction for your WB? Deploy two goblins and then your wallbreakers. Works for me and is better than using a giant.

Wizard towers can be easily taken down with one giant and 5 archers behind

Spells save raids (It's so simple but so true!)

Archer towers on the edge of a base can be easily taken out with 8 archers.

Balloons are good tanks for your dragons (example: Air defense on corner, deploy 2-4 balloons depending on level and deploy dragons behind them)

If you put a tesla by your "exposed" town hall, you are an ♥♥♥ and deserve to get your DE storage lightning'ed by me.

If you are a farming TH10, stay away from silver and gold league, mostly silver. Everyone will lightning your DE storage since you can't steal it back because of loot penalty

Just a couple of simple tips that most people might know, but some do not. I might update later on. :) Bookmarked thread because I think it's really useful.

* There are stairs inside your dark barracks, where could they lead? O_O
* Despite normally needing a spell, troops trained in barracks jump over walls
* If you look at a wall breakers picture in the barracks, it shows an upgraded picture.

I have a question for the lab. How do you make a link into a custom wording on a iDevice. If someone answers this, you make the list. Unless you are already on of course.

1) Place wiz. tower next to mortar. Protects mortars blind spot
2) Save elxir by making your army camp full of barbarians then filling your queue up with wallbreakers and save dark exliir by queing up minions This saves like 400k elixir and like nearly 800 dark elixir
3) You can actually see a hero heal while you're attacking a base. Get's a little yellow circle.

Hm, sorry. Those discoveries aren't worthy to go pro.

Boris is getting desperate
Wallbreakers only used to take one housing space
Attacks are best in waves
With a top lvl P.E.K.K.A and a lvl 5 rage, you can do up to 1,485 damage

Ok, thx! I figured it out.

Go to "settings"

Click "edit sig"

Post the link in your sig

Click "edit sig" and you should be able to delete parts of the link to create your own wording.

2. Write the url you want on the textbox
3. Edit the text part outside the tags that repeats the text what you wrote as the link

A level 6 wallbreaker and a lvl5 rage spell can blow up lvl9 walls.

Wall Breaker lvl6 does 60 damage, but you must multiply by 40 for walls, which is 2400. That breaks lvl6 walls.

Wall Breaker Level 6 and Rage Spell v.s. Wall

With level 1 rage spell: Breaks lvl8 walls, 3120 damage.
With level 2 rage spell: Breaks lvl8 walls, 3360 damage.
With level 3 rage spell: Breaks lvl8 walls, 3600 damage.
With level 4 rage spell: Breaks lvl8 walls, 3840 damage.
With level 5 rage spell: Breaks lvl9 walls, 4080 damage. ♥♥♥?

1821200x250=455050000
Which means 455050000 out of 2205300000 gold is not worth investing since one wallbreaker and a rage spell can break that much gold's worth of walls, and this is with only one rage spell. That's over 20% of gold out of over 2 billion. Thank you Supercell. These are only the WALLS.
