How are you defining current modders and past modders? Most English dictionaries define currently as "at the present time." I read the statement to mean that if you modded in the past and stopped in the past, you're not going to be affected. But if you were still using mods at the time the announcement was made, you're in violation. Even if you took currently to mean in the next fews days or weeks, you'd still have to believe those you've already labeled as liars when they say they immediately deleted their cheats.

I also disagree with your question and what you state as fact (highlight above). Action was taken before, and it took time for SC to develop the tools and the process to enforce it at the level we are seeing now. I don't see throwing this whole situation back on SC as a valid argument.

Any reports on modding to SC were returned with "we require video proof" or "absolute certainty" that cheating occurred. Action on whatever scale that was taken before was negligible in comparison to the rate in which modding was occurring. SC is guilty of being complacent, which caused the rise in modding activity, and resulted in a "everyone else is doing it" attitude, which further compounded the situation.

Due to the increased popularity of these TPAs, the ad revenue lost will certainly cause a vicious cycle of the modders adapting. They weren't doing it for fun. Now it's a cat & mouse game, which is on SC as well.

It is NOT SC's responsibility to tell cheaters how to remove the cheating software. They don't own it, and may not even know how to remove it completely, as I'm sure the various apps (xmod, imod, etc.) have various functionality. At this point, it is and should continue to be the cheater's job to figure that out. If the cheater can't do so, that is simply something they will have to live with I guess. Seems like SC is fine with that, and I'd guess most of the fair play users are as well.

Stop saying this. You run the mods, the mods alter your COC data. SC scan their own game data in your phone. You got banned. There is nothing illegal or illuminati conspiracy or black magic in work here. Well, aside from the octopus :smirk:

Sorry, but I don't agree. JailBreak and Rooting doesn't have anything to share with Clash Of Clans. SuperCell CANNOT complain about being rooted or jailbroken as far as it doesn't violate their TOS. And it doesn't, so SuperCell CANNOT force users to abandon their JB\Root.

There are a lot of people that enjoy this game and do not have to cheat to win. They bring natural ability and a creative mind. No need to cheat. I think SC will be here for a long time despite what the haters say :)

The last comment by staff is true, multiple accounts on one device will not get an account banned. Switching accts does not cause ban. However, if an account is opened, then banned, then another 'clean' account attempted to be opened on that device, that new 'clean' acct. will get banned. Mine did. In short, attempting to switch from a banned acct. to an unbanned acct. will cause the later to be banned. When that 'clean' account was attempted to be opened on a 'clean' phone, it was already banned. (My experience is in above thread). I can provide SC with acct. details, if not believed. My 'clean' acct. was attempted to be loaded on my son's unclean device, and got banned after his acct. had been banned.
