Luring question
I keep getting burned by failed lures. Ruins an attack if step #1 goes wrong. I'm having trouble identifying if a particular defense building is inside the lure radius if it's really close. What is a good method to tell if a building is indeed in or out of CC radius.

Great question, and this also depends on what troop you are using to lure. The two common troops are hogs and loons, and both seem to have different spaces they can lure from. I try to show the differences in a few of my videos but for a general rule of thumb you can click on the cc. Now if the cc radius touches the outer area of the defense a hog with lure since they hammer the defense on the outer edge. For loons if the cc radius falls on the outer 1/3 of the defense range, a loon will generally lure since they hover over a defense but usually sit in the first of the 3 cells that a defense building sits. I hope that all makes sense.

If the CC is not in the centre of the base (say, to the south of the Town Hall), then drop a goblin or barbarian on the lower part of the base.
Or you could just look closely at the base in prep day.

Don't lure. Kill squad instead. A couple of golems, wizards plus royals into the core of base
