Before everyone starts saying "Yah witch buff, boo talk nerf", we have to realize how significant the changes have been, completely changing high level wars. The ideas I'm saying here aren't like most people's ideas of what the changes should be, but I am also accepting reasoned and well-thought out comments. The witch is not really used now, and the valk is used near constantly. The valk and witch both wreak havoc on the same style of base, although each is specialized in its own way.
Because one was nerfed while the other was buffed, people aren't using them about evenly, which is making the game unbalanced. Thus, I have decided based on a long and eventful discussion in my clan, that the best nerf/buff for each would be in troop size. Since the witch is 12 space, and the talk is 8, with every 2 witches you can hold 3 valks. I think to balance out the usage of both valks and witches, valks should be upped by 1 or two troop spaces, and/or the witch is reduced by 1 or 2 troop spaces. A valk nerf to 10 space would mean their attacks would have to be planned to protect them and/or funnel them a little better, so they don't always win simply by large numbers. On the flip side, a witch reduction in troop size would mean that there are more skeletons, and even though they don't trigger bombs they would have the numbers, and come back quicker.
Thoughts on this? Before the update and after the update it was either witch or valk, now maybe they could live almost harmoniously.
