I agree. Even if they quit modding, they still used mods to get where they are. They have a better base and better troops because of it. Although an entire game reset would somewhat be entertaining.

But see this is not an analogy, this is your opinion. Your opinion is, wars won previously aren't as good as future wars won, no matter if they were won legit. I can assure you I view my wars won as a pound of gold. As I stated, win 250+ wars fairly then let me take them away. You're not getting any support for this idea from the fair play community. Absolutely absurd idea to punish those that won fairly just to suit your agenda.

I'd say not to delete any war wins. Even if there is a modder banned from within the clan, doesn't mean they all did it!

Absolutely. I wanted to throw this out there to make a point, and that is that everyone's war wins are meaningless if so many were likely to be tainted. As a level 8 clan, we faced an obvious modding clan every 4 or 5 wars. Those were the obvious ones.. the smart ones were very tough to be sure about. If you take that into account, I'd conservatively peg the number of modders at 20% in each high level clan. Hell, we caught a couple in ours and booted them back to global roulette in a heartbeat.

The self-righteous attitude coming from some of these other respondents is pretty much what I'd expect, so its great to see someone with a rational mindset bring up their points.

I have no problem purging the clans that botted. But to punish all the hard work FP clans put in is beyond ridiculous. In your analogy, that's like saying let's get rid of all baseball records and start fresh because of steroid use by some.

The fair play people are already being punished since the modders get to keep their ill-gotten accounts. At least resetting war wins puts everyone at an equal playing field. The FP clans that lost to modders suddenly get to start fresh with no losses.

There's a really interesting question underlying this. What happens if an FP clan has closet modders? Are they still fair play? The fair-play community merely insists that exposed modders be removed, but it doesn't change the ill-gotten wins.
