It's not a problem, it's a perfectly valid tactic. It's up to you to fix it, and if you're going to war back to back (it's on you), recruit directly from global and only allow those you recruited to join, not anyone else

Yes, i do have some low leveled ths, but a better way to describe who you are meaning is a noob(not a low town hall level). But knowing where traps are makes a little difference in the game at high or low levels. You can easily deduce where any traps are roughly located. So spying only proves the enemies deduction was correct.

I had a recruitment thread going on the forums without getting a single recruit. And even if there would be things I could really do (which there aren't any), why should I be the one that needs to put in extra effort and why is it made so easy for those who don't care about sportsmanship?

We dealt with it by
1. Closing the clan during war and invite only when not in war.
2. Recruiting promising looking players from global.
3. Accepting the fact that we let someone in from the other clan and that they get an edge.

I am glad that it works for you. For many of us it doesn't.

Although I am not sure how can you be happy with (3) there... It's easy to fix this so I really think SC should do what OP suggested.

I really hate seeing these threads pop up. Spying is a valid war tactic and the only thing you have to do to prevent them from getting in is to hit that little red "Reject" button when anyone starts a request during one of your wars. You can also, like, not let in members that no one in the clan has recruited.

The fact of the matter is that your clan leadership is responsible for clan membership. We will try to send in spies at random times from random sources against our enemies just to see if we can get some past the really poorly run clans. Each spy has an assigned list of intelligence targets and as soon as we have what we need, we politely thank the enemy clan for the free victory and exit.

Do you realize this is the feature request section of the forum?

This is the area where we request changes to the game. If you don't agree with the requested change, just say that. It is ok to disagree, but telling people not to request changes means you don't think this area should exist.

Everyone know that spy's exist. We are saying we don't like it and would like an optional change to make it stop.

this is not unreasonable.

If you don't agree, that is ok. But telling people that that's just how it is, that's missing the point of a feature request.

If you were a higher TH, say 10 or 11, you'd know that spies mean nothing. Traps are worthless in this game and on most bases you can already tell where tesla are. Nobody uses hogs after TH9, so big bombs are also useless. Set your base up accordingly to mitigate potential attacks and you've got nothing to worry about. TH10 and up? Just use a donut base to halt gowipe and your good. So long as you aren't rushed that is.

I am a th9 and getting the dgb spots can win the war easily.

So cheating isn't enough for you, but you just have to rub it in as well? I wouldn't like to have a member like you in my clan or be in a clan like yours.

Supercell released News announcement today to Clash of Clans and Clash Royale about their commitment to fair play. It is simply not fair for someone to be able to come into the clan and take screen shots of the bases, and then know where all the traps and hidden features and Clan Castle contents are. That attacker gains an unfair advantage. Supercell surely does not want to encourage Spying as a valid tactic in the game. It is certainly cheating.

A true Warrior desires a fair and competitive battle where both sides are equally matched and neither has an unfair advantage. The true Warrior desires to fight and prove themselves on the battlefield and that is what we're all playing for. We want to recruit and we even want to be able to accept members from the opposite clan and be able to talk with them if we want, without fear they could gain an advantage.

People who reply and just say the point isn't valid, don't have anything to add here. Everywhere on the internet that you find someone with a problem, the first responder always tries to say, "that isn't a problem". Well, people have problems and by just minimizing a person's problems you become an irritant and you're in the way of progress. Think for a moment how much better our beloved Clash of Clans would be if we didn't have to live with this stupid "workaround" to "keep your clan closed". Supercell proved that they want fair play today with their message in your Inbox. End of story.
