It's absolute brilliant adds new gameplay elements if left untouched she can decimate an attacking army or even when attacking her skeletons can simply swarm a base when she has the protection of golems or giants will make some very interesting replays
Very cool troop... No complaints :)
Def could use some more hp as well as maybe deal a bit of more damage herself. But if folks realized her true purpose (atleast from what Ive seen so far) which is defense distraction then those stats arent all that important;)
Also Steve is there any stats available for the skeletons themselves? And do we know if they get upgraded when leveling up witch? Or does just the number of skeletons spawned increase?

L like that it could be used as a farming or cupping, and that it does require stratagey instead of spam and three star, however i think it should get a small boost in dps to be slightly better balanced.
A very creative unit and im sure it would be a game changer if it wasnt for the high training cost... Most probably it wont fade into darkness like the hog riders and valkyries...

Witch is so cool. It was a good thing you made it for TH9s or you'd see people complaining and calling you "greedy" again.... xD
I can only go by the replay videos but the witch looks like a great troop, those skellies rip it up. :D
Hey Steve, I really like the Witch, is nice to use, but I have a little feedback!
I think 250de is for high price for he! She have only 75 hitpoint and 25 damage, so 250de for a troop like he is a lot of... i can make 1 Golem and a lot of Minions for 2 Witches price, so it's a high price I think :)
I think 150-200de is a better price for he, but 250de for lvl 1 . . .lvl 1 Golem with 4500 hitpoints cost only 450de so... :)
Love it! The replays I have seen and the one I used from my CC were pretty darn cool.
To anyone saying these witches aren't powerful enough - lvl 2s destroy even maxed TH9s. I got 3 starred last night - first time in 3 months. This is the most powerful troop in the game and I'd say borderline overpowered.
Add some damage to her! She is supposed to be the leader of her skeletons, so make her a little more powerful, maybe about 40 DPS on lvl 1. Also I think she should be a little bigger so she is not confused with an archer on the battlefield. I really hope that you make level 3 available to TH9s because there aren't many people in TH10 also I would like the upgrades on her to make big differences so maybe 70 DPS and 160 HP on lvl 4. The skeletons themselves are fine, but make the witch herself a little stronger (and bigger)

Consider this a step in the right direction and keep it up.
The "witch" was the name everyone voted on?? Really? Zombie Princess? Necromancer? There are many other names that carry more weight. Witch seems like a copout.

I've only seen the video's, but the looks/animations of her with her skeletons are awesome!!!
Tested it few times in attack and cant yet say is it good or not, but I like the unit. Looks great and adds new twist to the game as it can generate more units during battle. Her long range balances low health.
The witch seems pretty OP if you have 10+ of them, especially the skeletons are very strong (they're basicly Level 4 Goblins but they attack everything). But the price is acceptable for it's power.
I'm waiting for Level 8 Mortars and Wizard Tower as a counter.
So yeah correction on my part....they dont need to be any stronger lol! I just watched a clanmates replay....WOWIE!!! He has pretty much a maxed base besides walls (think most are level 9)...and a fella attacked him with maxed heroes (which genuinely didnt do all that much damage) and 22 level 2 witches....and OMG again...WOWIE!! 3 starred w ease......the game just got interesting again:)
I used it, and I REALLY like it! I gemmed it to level 2, and it works great.
I do have 1 suggestion. Please make her spawn more skeletors when she is at a higher level + increase cap at higher level. For example, a lvl 1 spawn max of 6 and 3 at a time. Lvl 2 spawns 10 at max and 5 at a time.
Increase the attack to around 45, only two skeletons per witch every 5 seconds. Would balance.
From the videos and screenies I saw, it seems to be a pretty bad-♥♥♥ troop. I'm considering ignoring my walls, and starting that TH9 upgrade just to unlock her (and Minions lv5).
She probably costs too much for anyone who doesn't gem. You need at least 5 for them to be somewhat epic. It does look like a really fun troop to use.
Everyone using them is loving them. Everyone defending against them is hating them. Are we expecting a nerf or a counter defense on the next update or in the future? :rolleyes:

Love it, the top player in my clan gemed it and he gave them to use when he's online :cool: they're so cool.
Watching a few videos with witches, it seems like high level walls work to their advantage:
- have a few witches get slowed down by walls
- have other troops break through other parts of the base
- once that one wall is destroyed, the witches have made many dozens of skellies
- skellies scatter to the wind to attack 10 things at once
Supercell, first of all I would like to thank you for your appreciation and hard work that has lead clash of clans to the major game it is now.

In my opinion the new dark elixir troop (witch) is an amzing troop that represents your dedication do this game.
The only problem I find in it is that it is too op (over powered).
To resolve this problem I sugest to make the x-bow's favorite target the witch.
This could help balance the witch's power.
ps.
Example: Hidden Teslas do doublé-damage to PEKKAS.

Wow about sums up the Witch for me. I've seen several complaints about her being 'weak'. To clear this up, if you only have 1-3 witches, yes, it will not help too much, but 5or 6 or more, and she is absolutely devastating. The sheer amount of never ending skeletons is horrifying for a defender. I expect a powereful lvl 8 wizard tower upgrade next update, maybe even for TH 9. There's no other way to counter that skeleton horde
funny little troop. i've been attacked by 9 witches. little skeletors spawning from everywhere. was fun to watch. too bad we can't save the replays for more than a few attacks / defenses.
I've seen 2 vids using the witch and they completely swarmed the base I'd prefer to use giants just because of the hefty cost of the DE. So giants and witches amd the other one, wizards and golems
how good are they as a CC troop on defense?
The witch is way overpowered, she stays miles behind and even y fully maxed base is easily 2 starred now... There needs to be a counter balance very soon

It be cool if in the stats for the wich,and for golem we chuld pull up the stats for the skelliton and golemites
expensive but they are cool,two of them will help any kind of army composition and will help your town on defense ;)
From all the videos I have seen, it looks awesome.
I wouldn't increase her damage or hp at all, the skeletons get targeted before she does so she doesn't really get hit.
From what I have seen, the witch is a great unit, but when in small numbers, and with no protection, is not so great.
The best strategy would be to use like 1 Golem, and 11 Witches. The golem will beat a great meatshield, while the (Skeletors?) work great distracting Xbows and such.
SO, overall, she is great if used right.

The witch is a great addition in my opinion. Some have said she's too weak, some too strong. I think she's just right. Her high cost balances her potential to swarm high leveled bases. The only thing is, please show stats of the skeletons. Thanks SuperCell!

The stats of the skeletons are in the coc wiki if I am not mistaken? Anyways, I have not tried her out yet, but that troop is the only troop I may actually add to my farming army every once in a great while. =p
Well I think she is a good idea. She is easily the most powerful troop in the game as she stands. This will get rid of the stagnated top 100 as now its possible to 3 star even the highest bases. The gemmers at the top will complain as they will lose more trophies and it brings TH10 farming to TH9. Most half decent TH10 bases have 1500-2000 DE up for grabs.
everyone is going to rush to get to TH9 again = more loot for me :D
i don't think she needs changing, although if enough high ranked players complain i can see her getting nerfed.
supercell should add a type of skeleton leader with a target option into the DE barracks. So any raised skeletons will go for what he does. So what I mean is when you tran him you choose: defenses, resources or both. And he kinda leads them around while the witches spawn them from behind.
I was surprised how weak she is, I don't have her myself but I had one come out of a castle when I attacked. One lightning spell n she was gone lol
That's exactly what some people are doing. It shouldn't be impossible to defend against such attacks - for TH9s that is what is happening. My trophy push is being severely hindered and someone using nothing but 20 witches attack after attack has gone up from 2600 to 2900 overnight.
Perhaps make xbows target witches over other troops?
Just saw my defense log: 100% by using 19 lvl 2 witches... Not nice, first time since ages.
From the witch gameplay vids I've seen the witch spawns a lot of skeletons so i know why the witch was low HP and have a new GOWIPE (golem,witch and pekka) which will be interesting.
Or GOWIWI ?
I hope SC don't nerf this Witches. I would love to try them one day. :rolleyes:
Great troop. Loads of positives including her range and the skeleton minion things she spawns...After the queen I'd say she is my favourite troop but her cost takes the shine off - I probably won't use her much unless I start playing higher up the trophy range and that won't happen until it is possible to gain much more resources (per session) up there - I have L10 walls to build and they are no joke!!
Couple of negatives from my perspective as a resource farmer
Costs a lot of DE. If saving for hero upgrades, you simply can't afford to use the witch on a regular basis
Health - She is fairly weak but any stronger and she may be overpowered to be fair...
Looks like a really fun troop, I wont have them for another ten days, though.
As far as them being overpowered goes, 7k dark elixer isn't cheap, last I checked.
If your spending 7k dark elixer per raid, you should be able to offensively get close to 100%'ing a maxed base. It sounds like people with maxed bases don't believe they should be able to get 100%'d by anything.
The witches won't get used much by farmers, if at all, but I imagine they're gonna be a huge asset for gemmers. For that reason, I don't know if they should be nerfed.
Maybe, just maybe, people should design their bases a little differently to counter them? If every gemmer does indeed start using all witch attacks, then you need to adapt to them defensively. Last I checked, pretty much anything one shots the witches, so, maybe throwing everything in the middle isn't a very good strategy against her.

It is a lot of fun to play with it but It's way over powered. This will take over all high lv playing soon.
My opinion to balance it bit: With the ability continue summoning, Skelton can fight for you for 5 seconds. Most of them die within 5 seconds anyway.
Looks OP if used next to golems and few wallbreaker. The witch itself shouldn't make any damage or spawn only 2-3 waves of skeletons per unit.
Basically i love it...
Just that have the ability to re-summon again n again is abit too deadly..
- Mayb every 5 sec per summon? Or...
- Like the description said.. The moment i read that my imagination that finally the R.I.P stone can put to good use instead of press it and loot 20 elixir each.. But unfortunately it dint go as i imagine..
- if there's a witch to summon death.. Then mayb each tier troop has its own grave if tier one.. Randomly re-animate barb, arch, n goblin... Tier 2 graves stone same random effect..tier 3 grave stone.... Dmg= 3/4 from original, hp = 1/2, died= turn to gravestone (and wait to re-animated again..)
- witch ability is deadly but also need to have weakness.. If there a grave stone and then "powerful summon" will activated.. If there no grave stone then return to basic state wall breaker without bomb.. "Weak summon"
- Witch have the ability to reanimate dead depend on level.. Lv1 witch can summon tier one.. Lv2 can summon tier 1 n 2.. So on..all summon is randomize.. Depend on tier 1,2,3 n dark troops grave stone..
- witch hp increased base on level.. 75, 100, 125, 150... Same style as dmg..
- level 1.. witch summon 2 (limit 4), level 2... summon 3 (limit 6).. So on (can re-adjust)
- instead just stay behind to summon n advance.. Witch have its limited range summon cycle..so if the cycle dont have grave stone, then undead tier troop wont activated.. Her favorite target is gravestone...

The witch looks like a great troop all around. I was just curious of the stats for the little skeletons?
I say we get rid of all the witches and un ban illustris.
at level 2, 20 witches is basically a replenishing 160 skeleton army every 10 seconds.
that is 2880 barb-like troops in a 3 minute battle. way op.
SC will probably dial it back a bit by increasing the troop space to 15.
introducing a witch targeting defense/bomb would probably help but wouldn't be able to take out mass witches.
a witch hunter troop would probably nerf it and unlikely to happen while its being used a lot at high level play.
more players will probably add witches to clan castle to counter mass witch attacks.
I want to see a video of witches vs 2 witches in clan castle going head to head.
I think the Witch is a little overpowered but still very cool. Maybe a tweak or two and it's perfect. Just a really neat troop.
I see it as an army of P.E.K.K.A's at TH lvl 7-8... pretty OP too, but too costly, or too long to build.
So most people don't use them too often.
The witch will probably be more used by trophy hunters in the upper levels..
but hey, it was about time it rumbled some more up there :o and again.. the high training cost will counter the overuse of the unit.
And I know.. gemmers will always have witches, but gemmers will always have everything, because they're gemmers :p:rolleyes:
I'm very happy with these new troop, saw a bunch of videos and can't wait to use the witch myself.
She reminds me the last level in Frozen Throne ( Scourge Campaign ). Where we can't create more troops because of housing space while we need more troops at the battle. The Witch will be the solutions. I'm still TH8 but I think I can see a new strategy at high trophy when I'm TH9. :)
