I think it'd be neat to have the ability to attack one's own base for practice sake. Obviously, no loot would be gained and ideally units wouldn't be lost in the process. Just a way to discover weaknesses. What do you guys think? Cheers....Andy

Would be used to practice on war opponents. This is an old idea that won't happen, sorry.
It makes 100% sense. You can find out exactly what the CC troops are with a scout attack. And if that didn't expose the traps- they really aren't that hard to figure out most times. Your also thinking in the "mirror" mindset, and notclan mindset. You find your mate that's base close enough matches the target, and have him load it up and practice. He'll tell you exactly what the plan is. Or he will simply hit it.
In a time where engineered clans, fluffy use, and any other way to gain an upper hand on your opponent is being used- you really think it wouldn't be exploited?
The only reason I'd support this idea would be to level the playing field for legit players. Actually, tilt it in legit players favor since we all know most bunnies are crippled without their crutch.
