New Trap - Freezing Bomb

New Trap - Freezing Bomb
Its an gold trap like all other traps
Except instead of dealing damage, it freezes enemy's
You can choose if it will target air or ground.

Freeze Effect:
The effect totaly freezes the troops, they cant move and attack when they are frozen
-lvl 1: Duration 0.8 Sec
-lvl 2: Duration 1.1 Sec
-lvl 3: Duration 1.4 Sec
-lvl 4: Duration 1.8 Sec
-lvl 5: Duration 2.2.Sec

Unlock
First one at Townhall 8
Second one at Townhall 9
Third and Fourth at Townhall 11
Fifth at Townhall 12

Unlock
Lvl 1: At Townhall 8
Lvl 2: At Townhall 9
Lvl 3: At Townhall 10
Lvl 4: At Townhall 11
Lvl 5: At Townhall 12
Stats:

Cost/ Reloadcost:
Lvl 1: 250.000 gold, 500 reload
Lvl 2: 500.000 gold, 1000 reload
Lvl 3: 1.000.000 gold, 2000 reload
Lvl 4: 2.000.000 gold, 4000 reload
Lvl 5: 4.000.000 gold, 8000 reload

Effect Radius: 3 Tiles
Damage Type: Area
Trigger Radius: 2 Tiles
Favorite Target: Any
Targets: Ground OR Air

Weakness:
-Its useless against air/ground (Depends on your target)
-When troops are not together it could target a single unit and it will be nearly useless.

It strong against:
-Target Air: against the healers flying behind an army, it can cause some real damage.
-Target Air: stopping forces behind Lavahounds to prevent them from killing before Lavahound dies.

-Target Ground: it could stop units from killing an important building for a few seconds.
-Target Ground: it could stop backline units not targeting defensive structure to be frozen.

Well, it is not a bad idea, it can be balanced further so that its something less significant, so that it has minor, but notable effect. The concept is nice though.

I agree with that; imagine having all of your troops in the centre of the enemy base, then having their attack speed ruined for 2.5 seconds. It could cost 2 stars in some situations. Perhaps the effect could be overruled by the Grand Warden's ability, making it work better well-designed bases as opposed to the silly square/doughnut ones?

Also, the cost could be increased. A level 4 giant bomb is 2.5 million - 5 times more than your proposed cost. I'm not saying that they should be the same, but at least make players work for the benefits that it provides.

Good Alternate To Bomb

Freezing bomb, could be a great alternative to our current normal bomb, which is (in my opinion) totally useless.

All bombs should shock/freeze all in the blast zone, in addition to the damage done. However, the freeze effect wouldn't add, so multiple bombs going off together shouldn't freeze extra long.

I would keep the freeze simple. Troop frozen, just like with the freeze spell. No need for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ation of attack while frozen, troop just can't attack.

The durations suggested are probably good, but the radius should sty the same across upgrades, and the same as the damage radius. Don't complicate stuff without good reason.

A 1 second freeze I don't think would be too strong. Slowing movement and attack speed just sounds too complicated for its worth. Who cares if the golem attacks 20% slower for 1.5 seconds?

At the moment, little bombs are near useless, maybe a bit useful with skilful prediction against wbs at one particular level, maybe a bit useful against a rush of tier 1 troops in combination with mortar/wizard tower, but useless against players who know how to use tanks. This change to bombs would give reason to place them strategically.

Air too? Th11 suggestion

I think there should be a growing version and an air version, or a way to select what the bomb would target. Seems like a great idea, but I think two should be unlocked at th11, just because it would amp up the challenge of attacking a th11, namely th10 on th11. I really hope this gets implemented. Think about the air idea?

Oh and #2 seems to be the better idea IMO, but since it deals no damage, you could make the freeze times 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 seconds for lv 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively.

I like this idea, it's not too overpowered but it's not completely useless either. One thing I would like to change is the name, I think the "freezing bomb" sounds too plural and perhaps we could change it to the "Frozen Bomb." Another thing I would like to add is that I think the re-arm cost is a bit expensive. For a minor trap it should only cost about 250 gold to re-arm and double with every level. Overall though I think this is a great idea. Also I would just like to add that for the picture I would imagine the normal bomb with a bluish tint to it.

I like more traps, even if they do not do much. Anything to make it less that all villages at a certain town hall act more-or-less identically when raided. This freeze trap would work well with the slide trap idea.

Well, basicly i had a similar idear called the TAR Trap or QUICK Sand Trap, that effects on ground troups.

The Freeze Trap also effects the Air Troups, wich i like more, because it effects all the troops.

The thing i dont like atn ist the fact that "Freeze feature" gets in this game a little more tahn before.
Personaly i think this is a toppic that doesnt fit in the game.

C'mon, in the middleage, noone freezed the enemies ;-)

I disagree because 1secs is also enough for the defence to take down our troops and also if the trap would get activate we cant get rid of it by using spells or anything and just like freeze spell it would act like it similarly and if a bunch of troops came together then our atk will completely fail... And as we cant get rid of it people will put it in the mid of the base which will fail our atk on regular basis... So i deny the idea..

already now the traps have a hard time to cope with the steadily upgraded troops.
we need effective defense against new troops/ entities!
where is the magnetic trap catching the electro dragon?
where is the swamp trap sinking the Siege?
where is the tornado trap catching the 5-6 healer following the walking queen?

Gosh think innovative!
Ideas like another general trap with little to no effect are just obsolete.

Need ideas?
read your statistics which are the most used troop combos
and then after you did your homework
come with new and effective defense units
specially designed to nerve exactly these troops!

Well the solution of this could be to make your troops more split with range and melee, since the radius is quit small, when using tanks they will only freeze like 1 or 2, but since the attack damage of the tanks isn't that high already it wont affect them so much. Using healers could also be possible to just keep them alive, or going full air to prevent from any freeze trap activating.
If this is still to overpowered in reality you could always add a maximum amount that will be frozen like the spring trap.

As long as the siege is ground it will freeze the target. Also making it target air or ground. This way you can also counter healers instead of the siege. And added extra levels because the idea was outdated.
