What is the best possible army for trophy hunting?

I am at th8 and i'm going to try and do a cup run, i was wondering what is the best army for getting cups?

I have fully maxed elixir troops but my dark elixir troops are all level 1 (apart from minions which are level 3) what army do you advise me to use?

Probably GoWiPe. Have you upgraded to golems? Drop in golems to distract, PEKKAs to destroy, and wizards to tear through all the buildings behind the walls.

How about u are th6 and u are about to go to th7 what is the best strategy

To be honest, this is what i find best.

5x Dragon (Lvl 3)
12 x Giants (Lvl 5)
6 x Wall Breakers (Lvl 5)
Remaining Archers (Lvl 5)

Use the giants and WB to take out easy lying air defences, and use the 3 lightning spells (LVL 5) to take out the third one, and pray for the best if it has a 4th one.

I basically avoid any bases with inferno towers, because it reduces even my Golem (which is Level 2) to dust, it's pretty bloody powerful and will kill all your high-HP beasts.

I rarely use CC reinforment, but if need be, i usually ask for more archers if i train more giants, and vice versa. Unlikely i carry a dragon, but it depends on my mood.

Barb King is Level 8, helps a ton. I am TH8, 1800+.

Cheers :) I might swap 1 or 2 drags for minions as 5 dragons (especially lvl 3) are quite expensive. Thanks a bunch though, saves me having to test out multiple armies.

The army i use is

5-6 drags (lvl3)
40-50 minions (lvl3)
1 lightining spell (lvl3)
2 rage spells (lvl3)
And a barb king (lvl6)

I have to make sure i get all the loot back so i can keep doing it endlessly

Try

2 golems
3 pekkas
8 wizards
9 archers
8 wb
2 minions
