Support-Style Dragon Hero
Armored Ice Dragon: A GROUND Hero
(Can't fly for long with armor, now can you?)
Unlocks at TH10
Summoning Cost: TBD (Dark Elixir)
Levels 1-20
HP: 3400 (Level 1) - 4250 (Level 20)
DPS: 50 (Level 1) - 86 (Level 20)
Regeneration Time: 35 (Level 1) - 65 (Level 20) Minutes
Range: 5 Tiles
Preferred Target: Inferno Tower (acts as if preferred target is Defenses until it recieves any damage from an Inferno, at which point it will attempt to target the Inferno, if the Inferno cannot be reached due to walls, the Dragon will not target the Inferno and ignore the incoming damage entirely)
Damage Type: Single Target
Targets: Ground Only
Hero Ability: Fly over walls for short periods of time. 4 seconds (Level 5) - 7 seconds (Level 20). Still counts as a ground unit. Imagine it takes off, flies over the wall, and lands again, like a jump spell.
Movement Speed: Giant Speed
Other Notes: Does not attack walls or troops under any circumstances; Cannot be used defensively; Attacks as a constant beam of damage, similarly to an Inferno Tower; Freezes target building as long as the Armored Ice Dragon is attacking target building; Recieves 2x damage from Inferno Towers (single or multi-target)
The Armored Ice Dragon is a slow but powerful beast. It has armor that soaks up hits from enemy defenses and can provide useful support, assuming you can get it within range of enemy buildings, of course. Like the Archer and Wizard, the Ice Dragon can attack past walls as if there was no wall there, but cannot attack walls themselves. Similarly, the Ice Dragon will also ignore any and all defending troops. The Ice Dragon has no utility as a defensive hero, and thus cannot be used defensively (It can't wear the armor all the time, you know!) Attacks by spraying a constant beam of ice upon a single target, freezing the target until the target is destroyed or the Ice Dragon dies. The Hero Ability allows the Ice Dragon to temporarily bypass walls. The Dragon has a fair amount of health, but deals virtually no damage, and is to be used as support only. It has enough health to freeze an important enemy defense for some time while taking attacks from other defenses, but not enough to become the "Tank" hero and replace the BK. The freeze is intended as support as well, it should do such little damage that the Ice Dragon should not be able to destroy any building of potential significance efficiently and will require more damaging support.
The main purpose of the Ice Dragon is to tactically and skillfully use deployments and funneling to make it freeze a defense of significant importance, usually an Inferno Tower. Deploying an Ice Dragon should be saved for mid-attack, after a sufficient path has been blown towards the center of an opponent's base. It would allow players to become slightly more diverse with spells in TH10 and TH11, and to put together, if done properly, potential kill squads using the AQ and the Ice Dragon. The Ice Dragon should also allow Wallbreakers to come into play more frequently in higher Town Hall levels, something not frequently seen, save for GoWiPe. A slow, short range hero based around support would almost certainly require players to deploy in waves rather than mass attacks all at once.
As for visuals, I cannot create art worth anything. This section is all personal preference, but it is ultimately up to you. I imagine a Dragon Level 2 scheme (but slightly bigger) for the base, colored white (replacing the purple) and light blue (replacing the pink). I also imagine the head (at least the front) and the front of the wings armored in PEKKA-like armor, using the PEKKA color scheme from a Level 1 Pekka. This is the Level 1 model. When the Ice Dragon reaches Level 10, the armor changes to a Level 3 PEKKA color and more of the body is covered, including the neck. The wings and legs on the Ice Dragon become thicker. At Level 19 (there is no change upon reaching Level 20 from Level 19), the armor covers the torso and frontward-facing half of the wings and becomes "frosted" with ice, and the eyes of the Ice Dragon glow a fierce blue.
I understand that at this time you may have no plans for implementing a new hero. However, in the case you do eventually decide to implement a new hero, I advise you to consider this as an option.
