The best war strategy: Hogs! But not just any deployment style

Most hardcore players know that hogs have the highest success rate of any troop composition in war at th 8.
But inside hog deployment, which is better?
One finger deployment, 2 finger, Asian wall, surgical??
What about "fish hogs"!!
Fishhogs which is named after our great strategic leader is similar to surgical hogs in a way that you deploy 3 hogs on each outer defense, but the difference in fish hogs is that you target all defenses at the same time, that way you overwhelm all defenses as fast as you can with all your hogs. Check the videos made in a couple of wars, regardless of being an anti-3 base or internet base.

It can be done on any type of th 8 base design available out there, and when you master it, you will never fail to 3 star a th 8 in wars ever again.

It takes some time to master this deployment style, but the benefits are great, you wont ever have to use another troop composition for war. Double giant bombs are not a problem for fish hogs as only a small group of hogs trigger it while the rest of the hogs are all around the base destroying everything.

I see a lot of players using Goho or Govaho in their strategies thinking it is the best strategy at TH 8. Well let me tell you it is not, if you deploy Kill Squad on the wrong side thinking there is a dgb, and deploy hogs on the backend where the dgb is, the raid is over. Also there is no QUEEN to kill at TH 8 and the dgb at th 8 is not effective, it can be triggered perpendicularly sometimes with just one hog, this is due to the reason that TH 8 doesnt have enough buildings like a TH 9 to make a great pathing. GOHO and GOVAHO are TH 9 strategies. All you need to learn at TH 8 is this strategy and nothing else matters.

LOL, I'm not sure what to call it, fish hogs, surgical, whatever...

BUT...those hog runs are stunningly similar with how I/we do it and I'm utterly convinced it's the best way to go at TH8. It's almost hard to miss if you remotely plan it right.

There are really only a few differences and all are basically insignificant in my mind to the overall strategy. The idea of getting all hogs onto the field asap and overwhelming the base is exactly the right mindset

Lol in our clan we call it fish hogs because our leader introduced us to it, plus he is also a beast with his deployment. I agree with you there in thinking this is the only way to go at th 8, it has almost a null fail rate if you master this attack. I haven't used any other attack besides in my th 8 base ever again.
Plus it doesn't need any planning, just lure and kill cc and know where you are going to place king as initial tanking unit, then the rest of the deployment doesn't matter, the base will fall.
The concept of fish hogs: overwhelm every defense.
If everyone did this attack style, sadly we won't have any possible way to defend against this, there is no such base design that it cannot destroy

LOL, I'm actually glad that not everyone executes this attack, as it would result in a lot more 3* against us.

I do have to chuckle a tad at the slight differences in strategy. It seems like you use the BK distract at the beginning, then start healing, while we use a group of hogs and a heal at the beginning and use BK as a distract later on in the run. It's basically the same strategy, different timing.

You can use the king at the beginning or later, it doesn't matter much, you actually don't need king in this attacks, as the hogs can take care of the base by themselves.
There is a couple of reasons why i deploy king first:
1° Tanking unit for cc kill squad
2° Tanking unit for cc hogs, that way max hogs destroy more
3° Less multitasking
Now let me explain more the third reason. As you deploy king at the beginning, followed by cc hogs, you get rid of 2 troops in your army scroll bar, that way you can do your fish hog deployment and afterwards your healing placement without having to see where you are going to deploy your king. So all you have to be worrying about is where to place heal spells instead of where to place king.
Plus as my attacking strategy is from all directions, the hogs will be already in the base, and if you deploy the king after the hogs, then his tanking purpose and health regent is not really used to its potential.
It is better to use king in the beginning so that when he starts getting low, you activate his ability to gain back health, afterwards defenses would be destroyed by hogs, so he wont be taking in more damage, leaving him free to clean up

Wow... all I can say. This strategy definitely seems like the best attack strategy for th8. It's like surgical but really different at the same time. Going to talk to my classmates about this.

Yes agree.

And BK early or late, at least how I do it, really doesn't seem to make much difference in my mind. He takes plenty of damage tanking for hogs coming in.

In my mind, it's in one hand, out the other. The troops are just too few to get complicated either way.

Yea it is just the best damn strategy at th 8. It is not base dependant. Any base will fall :)
