Thinking I might be ready to upgrade to TH 8, what do you guys think? Almost maxed out on most of my stuff... Any suggestions are appreciated.

You might want to consider upgrading your defenses and buildings before moving to TH8
- air defense
- archer tower
- barracks
- collectors
- walls
- etc
I wouldn't. You will be hammered by th9s as soon as you reach th8 and your defences just won't cut it. Upgrade all walls to pink, mostly purple, and upgrade your last wizard tower. Also you might want to do archer towers and air defence. Teslas are so underestimated, you might want to get those up too.
Max out EVERYTHING, don't make my same mistake!
I'm also near to upgrade my Town Hall to level 8. I would at least max all your defences first including walls.
You need it. As I often have lots of resources I attract many town hall 9 attackers and dragon armies. I guess it can only get worse at town hall 8.
Thanks, ill keep plugging away... Just getting a little bored grinding it out to upgrade everything at TH7. Thanks for the advice, glad i asked before I made an impulsive move.
Upgrading everything is stupid IMO. You win resources by attacking. having bigger camps, and higher troop levels helps you win. Upgrading your TH allows you to do that. If you max absolutely everything, there are still going to be th9s and 10s who can 3 star you, and are probably a lower level than you.
If you're bored at Th7, here's a newsflash for you: it ain't much different here at Th8.
By rights, you could survive upgrading to TH8 with your current base, but it'll be a difficult start because everyone loves to raid a premature TH8.
The very least, max upgrade your splash damage (mortars and wizard towers) and prioritize upgrading them once you're at TH8 because that fear factor helps to discourage raiders to your base. Purple walls won't guarantee protection, but please consider having one layer of them at least.
TH7 is the best level to farm for gold, so try maximize your profit while you still can. Also, its a little less stressful since there is only little stuff to focus on.
You don't need to max everything first. Just max defenses and get lvl6 walls. You should be good.
I honestly maxed everything because my brother told me TH8 was insane (and it's true) so i maxed it all out, including walls and tesla (last) then went to TH8. Now i've done the same to TH8 and just moved to TH9 (last tesla now upgrading to L6, but walls are not yet black, all purple) cost me a bomb, without gems.Quote:
