Been there, done that. I chaulk it up to a learning experience. I don't buy from the last bin now at all. :)
If u found it through the paper, probably not. If it was a neighbor you were visiting, possibly. I've done that before, thought I purchased a trade, so I never buy anything from the last stall at any shop anymore. :)Quote:

If they had an ad in the paper I think you can assume everything is available for purchase. I sell my extra expanding tools in my shop and always put something else in the ad hoping I can sell some crops, too. The tools will sell for sure. :-)
if the ad is in the paper, irregardless of what was advertised, i would buy them. the expansion item should be for sale and you can assume the player was a smart one because she didnt advertise the expansion item itself but something else. im curious though, have you not been buying the expansion items from the paper then??
Uh oh.... I prolly have done it before.....:eek: I never knew there is the so called "never buy anything from the last stall" rule until today..... I'll be extra careful next time ...... :(
I would imagine a very small percentage of the people playing read the forums. There's no rule in the game about the last stall.
While personally, I wouldn't take an item from there of my friends. I accept that there are no guarantees for any items i place there for deals etc.
If it is in a neighbor's stall, in the last box, wait 3-5 minutes, come back. If it is not gone yet you should swipe it up! Once I was trading and some neighbor took all of my expansion items for 1 coin. I wish people would sense something wrong with 10 planks for 1 coin in the last stall, right???
some people are just out to steal trades and they would just purposely buy from the last stall, afterall nothing beats getting their hands on cheap expansion items. i usually like to empty my shop before trading and if i have advertised stuff i would get my secondary farm to buy it first. or just get the person you're trading with to buy it first then sell it back to you.
Once again. In this game, it's traders beware. If its in a stall, it's there for buying. There is no rule about not buying from the last stall.
yea i fully agree! it will be out of goodwill that someone does not buy from the last slot but that does not mean they can't! we cannot take it for granted that everyone will follow this "unwritten rule".Quote:

I don't usually check my friends' roadside shops, but if you put it up for sale and I like it, I'm buying.
The purpose of this game is to produce and acquire things you want/need, not to keep other players happy.
And lost them several times because their barn is full or someone has been on the right spot on the right time. It is our loss and part of the game. You never know who is out there, so better be quick.:)
