Features to improve clan donation system

I am a loyal fan of Clash of Clans, have played for 2 years, and will continue to do so. I'm the leader of my clan, X-Mechanism, currently at lvl7. Since the clan was established a year ago, I have been able to solve a lot of problems within the clan with good management and leadership skill. The only problem that I can't solve until now is the donation problems.

What are the donation problems?
1. Certain people just donate whatever troops they like and treat request as a place to dump their unwanted troops
2. Some people might accidentally donated the wrong troops

Of course, these problems can be handled by narrowing down the members who donated the wrong troops and kicking out the selfish members, but its tiresome work and doesn't really solve the problems.

I believe some of you, whether you are member/elder/co-leader/leader, would like the clan donation system to be improved too. I have seen several threads with good suggestions to improve the clan donation system. I figure that it would be a good idea to gather all the good suggestions here in this thread.

Suggestion 1:
Ability to choose what troops can be donated to you
There would be an interface for you to choose and edit which troops can be donated to your request. This can totally prevent all the misdonation, be it accidental or on purpose.

Suggestion 2:
Notification of troops received from which donor after logging into game
The brief notification of troops received from which donor upon donation should be saved if the player is offline, and displayed for the player when he/she login again. This was my own idea. I noticed Clash Royale has this feature, and I don't see why Clash of Clans can't have this.

Suggestion 3:
Information about the origin of the received troops
There would be a button at the clan castle which allows you to see the origin of the received troops.

Such requests have been made so many times before. I guess its just hard to implement and thus hasnt been implemented yet.. Just have to play the waiting game, I guess! :P

Well I'm kinda losing the patience after waiting for so long:D.

I believe more such requests should be made to make sure Supercell heard the requests and do something about it.

I think it's a great idea. I've also thought in the past that it would be neat to have a separate barrack and/or camp to cook/hold troops just for donating to clanmates. I usually have my next army started in my barracks after one finishes so I have to erase golems, Pekkas, etc just to make someone a couple of archers or something. Just an example. But I like your idea and think the game could benefit from a system like the one you're proposing.

You could also add this feature.

Clan leader is able to remove the war troops he wants to remove. In this way, problems will be sorted out easily by the clan leader (not including coleader, call it an extra perk for being leader).

First suggestion is a bit of a problem and its not applicable as the usual donators might not have that troop or they may have better idea as to what is better for defence than the player himself. Many people ask for unreasonable donations in normal donations, and wont be surprising if they ask for the same troops on war and not change them due to prior appointment.

So except for the first suggestion, i agree with the rest 2.

I love the idea of the clan leader being able to remove everybody's war clan castles *cough* add it supercell *cough* back to OP, we all hate wrong donations but it's simply too tough as what AyanD said people often request for unreasonable troops but regardless love the idea.

Sorry, I was wrong when I said this idea must be hard to implement. Just realized, in Clash Royale you can request for the exact troops you want..

But, as Ayan said above, sometimes people might request for unreasonable troops and those requests would be kinda hard to fulfill!

I've just sent a clan mail to my member on the same subject, but if some don't read English, they'll not understand, so I think the first idea you suggested would work, say when you request troops, you get a drop down box with the troops you're able to request, this would be taken from your clan castle lvl, is 10, 15, 20 etc, then donating members would only be able to donate what is requested, if they try to donate something not on the list, it's rejected, thus stopping mis-donation or someone dumping there rubbish to clear there camps 👍

For a while I had a player donating dragons instead of my requested ground troops. While it was annoying, I'll admit there was also a level of fun tracking down the culprit.

I always make sure that when players get the wrong donating to say so in chat. But never be mean about it. Usually wrong donations are accidents. So correct the issue before it becomes a habit.

"Oh look, I accidentally donated the wrong troops but he didn't seem to mind. I guess Ill give him those troops from now on."

In my clan I set the donation rules such that request for expensive troops such as dragon, golem, witch in normal donation is not allowed, unless they are using it for war. People requesting for unreasonable troops (both normal and war) isn't really a big problem in my clan, because at the very least the person who sent the request is known and not anonymous. I can talk to that person and persuade him, if he still doesn't listen then I have no choice but to kick him out of the clan.

I do agree that you have a valid point, especially if suggestion 1 is applied in war donation. Based on your idea of giving the leader extra authority, suggestion 1 can still be applied in war donation with extra authority of the leader to override the system and donate reasonable troops regardless of what that player requested for war defense.
