Bmille3s Complete Town Hall 10 Farming Guide
Bmille3's Town Hall 10 Farming Guide
EDIT : Works just as well, if not better for th9 as well. Anywhere in Chrystal is great for Th9, Master 3 Is excellent for th10:thumbsup:
Hello, as some of you may know, I am bmille3. I am a level 118 town hall 10.
I have struggled lately since the new update, mainly because I love barching but haven't been able to find many dead bases. I'd been scrambling to find a farming strategy, but had no great luck. I'm sure many other people are having my problem, but before I say my farming strategy, there's a bit you need to know about me. I am a bit rushed, only 60 skull walls, but I've come along way. About a year/year and a half ago, I decided to quit the game. So I just decided to upgrade my town hall as the last thing I did. I quickly came back to the game, and had to work hard to come back. Anyway, I've come along way to get to were I am now. Lately I've had lots of trouble finding a reliable farming method. Since the release of town hall 11, it's been very hard to farm. Lots of people are saying to go down to silver league, and if your reading this and considering dropping, I highly advise you : Don't Do It! The reason I say this : Going down to silver league will not get you nearly any big raids. Lots of people say you should use all gobs and milk recourses. It isn't a bad idea and it does work effectively. So why shouldn't you drop? First of all, the only effective way of farming in low silver is all goblins. I've been down there and there is no other way you are going to successfully farm. This may not still be a big deal, but the problem comes in using all gobs. First of all, it's a much more effective strategy if you can boost your barracks. If you can't boost your barracks, it's not that fast, considering goblins take 30 seconds each to train, making it much slower than barch. You may not think so, but the seconds do add up. Plus, as I said before, using all gobs is the only strategy that works in silver. You can try barch, but your not gonna find big raids, and your not going to be able to milk recourses successfully because the goblins go for the loot, whereas your barch army is gonna target all buildings, and is going to cost you more troops per raid. Secondly, using the goblin army is very cheap to train, but it is very tiring to go at it over and over milking resources. If you are boosting your barracks, you will just have to raid over and over again for it to be successful. If you don't mind raiding over and over again, by all means, drop and farm. However, if you like attacking every 20-30 minutes, and getting big raids, don't drop. So what about the pros of raiding in silver? Well using all gobs is very cheap, it's the cheapest elixir troop. You easily gain profit, and it's very easy, you don't have to search long, you do get a little bit of clouds, but nothing bad. But in the end, the cons out rule the pros. If you've also done research on town hall 10 farming like me, you will know that a lot of people ( YouTubers especially ) will tell you to use heavy armies, which cost about 150-300k elixir and take about an hour to train. If you're not interested in elixir and you don't mind the wait, heck, train all drags and wipe out a base, but that's not really farming, is it? So if you want a reliable method, honestly it's up to you. I do have a few strategies that work that are quick and easy, but it all depends how you like to farm. Here is a few strategies that are quick, easy, and I have a little information about each one
Strategy #1 : Barch - My personal favorite, barch, as most of you know is a combination of barbarians and archers. It is about 20 minutes to train, and very cheap. I like using this strategy with about 8 wall breakers. This helps me use it as a hybrid for collector raids and storage raids. It goes very well with heroes, as the king can rage a lot of barbarians at one time. I would highly recommend using heal and rage spells, because they can make your troops very strong, and just takes over the raid. If you choose NOT to bring wall breakers, and just straight barch, that gives you a few more troops, but definitely limits the bases you can attack. How I usually train it is 2 wall breakers in each barrack, followed by barbarians in 2 barracks, and archers in 2 barracks. This is my favorite mainly because of how underrated it is and the power it can punch without spells. It is easily the most powerful army for its cost and time.
Strategy #2 : BAM - I would definitely use bam, but I like saving my dark elixir and don't want to use it in attacks. It is basically the same thing as barch, accept it brings force through the air as well. I would bring a jump spell each attack if possible, just so you can get through walls if needed. I would also bring rage and if you want, a heal spell. How I usually train it is 2 barracks barbs, 2 barracks arch, and have your dark barracks making minions
Strategy #3 : GiBarch - There are a number of variations of this strategy, but I'm here to tell you the quickest and cheapest way to effectively use it. A lot of people say to use wizards, goblins, and healers in your GiBarch attack. However, that lowers your elixir per attack tremendously, and takes way longer to train. I take 8 wall breakers and 8 giants. My main reason for only taking 8 is cost. But if you have level 7 giants, all you really need is 8 giants. Take rage and heal. Only use this strategy if your going to be attacking storage bases. Try to stay away from bases with infernos or high level xbows. To train in it, put 2 wall breakers and 2 giants, followed by barbarians in 2 barracks. Repeat the process in the other two barracks except exchange the barbarians for archers. Use heal spells effectively to keep your giants alive.
Well, now that you've seen the attack strategies, another FAQ is "What trophy range should I farm in?" Well, that depends on a wide variety of factors. If you like the idea of silver league, go to silver. Personally, I recommend anywhere from gold to master league. I have found some pretty decent loot in gold 2-3. I think overall though, Chrystal 2 is the best place to farm. It's streaky loot, sometimes good, sometimes great, sometimes awful, but one thing never changes, the loot bonus. The good loot bonus allows you to attack crappy bases for 3 stars even if they have only decent loot, say 100k of each. The loot bonus make it a good raid. Masters league has an even better loot bonus, but good luck finding a dead base up there.
As always, good luck to all of you. I really hope you found this helpful, it took me a very long time to make. Check out my clan Exodus lords as well. If I left anything out, or there's any other questions you need answered tell me, I'd be glad to answer. Please comment if this was helpful!
Thanks and good-bye
