I understand the logic behind making a huge army and grab some gold in expense of elixir as elixir is usually overflowing. But yea, spending a lot of gold to attack and get less altogether is puzzling to me. The other day I got a huge revenge attack from my trophy run and the guy did get 80% of my base down. He spent more gold on spells than he got, more elixir than he got (no dlix spent or gained) and won 0 trophies. Revenge, sure, I get that... But how does making one pay for attacking by oneself paying even more count as a revenge is beyond me.
