I actually chose helping in the DD over my NH which doesn't seem to be the popular choice. But I flat out told them I would no longer be stocking my RSS because I kept getting raided. They were disappointed but life went on.

For me it was just a lot easier to not sell anything anymore than it was to monitor who I helped, not participating in events to stay off the contributors list, worrying about who I'm next to on the boat leaderboard or cringing every time someone liked my farm. An empty RSS is a stress free RSS.

Though obviously neither choice is ideal and both work to the detriment of the community. I guess I'll never understand the logic behind these systems.

Thanks folks, visit anytime. This is unexpectedly sweet, as complaining about the social connectedness I felt I had lost so much of ended up bringing some back!

I play solo, no GC or FB. I do a lot of helps, and a lot of people help me.

I had no idea about "raiding". I just assumed that, if an item is posted for sale, that it actually is for sale, not just to specific people.

If I get a crate filled, I go out of my way to watch that farm for a bit to return the favor of filling something on their boat, if I can. And I usually can. And if I see something that needs watering, I water it.

I don't know that I have ever cleaned out an entire shop. I have had people do that to me, and, oddly enough, I didn't think "oh, these greedy people, coming in here, buying everything. How greedy, paying for things I am selling, well, how RUDE." I put things in those boxes, someone is going to buy it, first come first serve.

This whole conversation is just odd. Feeling taken advantage of because people have the nerve to purchase what is being publicly sold? Strange.

I only comment to say that if I have ever offended someone by buying what is being sold, then apologies. I truly wish that those that are so sensitive and offended by people buying things had the ability to put up a sign saying so.

I promise that if a farm was named something like DO NOT BUY UNLESS I SPECIFICALLY GAVE YOU PERMISSION, I would not buy a thing, or help you, either. Maybe that's an idea for any sensitive folks?

Correct. If it's advertised in the DD, shop away! It's urs, all urs! First come, first serve. Knock urself out.

The problem the OP is having is that he helped a stranger in the DD and days later he sees that person cleaning his shop out. Who the heck? What the farm? Where did this dude come from? Right...the DD.

I guess it's hard for someone who plays alone to understand. No offense.

If it's in my RSS, then it's anyone's gain. If I want it to stay in my NH or for a special friend, I wheat first, then post it for them.

I keep eggs in my RSS for visitors. Those that need it usually know it's always there.


Stop plank discrimination. Treat it likes it's equal to all other BEM.

Check this out. My hoody has 15 stalls and fills it all up with premiums, unadvertised. She makes premiums to sell but at the same time, it's her way of thanking her friends when she flags for help. Jams, ice cream, cakes, the whole nine yards. Some random guy she helped in the DD comes cleans her out without helping a single crate...cool, it happens. She fills her stall with premiums 4 hrs later for her next boat...same dude comes and cleans her out again, without helping. Imagine this happening for 2 weeks straight! It ain't fun.

If someone helps me I get to stalk them for two weeks because they appear on my Last Helpers tab. There should be a tab for Last Farmers You Helped, and then at least you could stalk back somewhat!!! Right now I don't feel as if I can sell freely without my former hoodmates buying the stuff. :rolleyes: I can't describe why I don't want this without incurring the wrath of the forum mods. :rolleyes:

Anyway, it's all Supercell's fault, and they could easily fix it. Maybe the real question is why don't they? What's in it for them?

Last Farmers You Helped would be nice but it's pretty useless if their stalls always empty or littered with junk. Only allow ur friends and followers to be on the last helpers tab. That should solve a lot of problems.

Why would SC concentrate their man power on useless Tom animations and Barbie doll machines rather than focus on something that is gameplay related and has been a major pain in the donkey's behind for many players for years, is my question.
