Mounting Hidden Teslas on walls
The Hidden Tesla's ingame description refers to it as "sneaky," an attribute that the tower lacks quite a bit due to its telltale 2x2 grassy foundation. From experience, I can say that the Tesla is mostly regarded as a 2x2 archer tower, which I think is unfortunate. The space it occupies, although relatively small, is very conspicuous--even more so to experienced players--and really waters down the defense structure's vitality as it completely nullifies its element of surprise.
I'm pretty sure the developers intended it to serve the role of a trump card--something slightly devious and cunningly emplaced as the potent trick up your sleeve; I feel that it is meant to be the secret weapon only you know about. The Tesla really has potential as a truly exciting component of the game, but in its current state, it is quite invisible but shockingly (pun-intended) easy to locate. I understand that maybe the Tesla's unique 2x2 square allows for the "empty castle ploy," but that's really inconsequential to the game holistically and is just overlapping with the petty mindgames bombs and traps can achieve.
That being said, I would like to propose what's already imparted in the title: allowing an individual wall unit to support the tesla, effectively eliminating the Tesla's obvious landmark. This doesn't require too much visual design adjustment as the developers can just scale it down and use the clever illusion they created for the spell factory's spoon--applying it to the wooden trapdoor-ish opening. With a wall as a pedestal, the Tesla can then be placed with newfound freedom and truly be a "sneaky tower" with "electrickery" that actually tricks. This is just how I think this issue needs to be addressed and feedback is very much welcome. Thanks for reading!
