They only flee if they're sitting in it uncontested. If your troops are in/near it too then they stay in it.
if the troops will flee, then our poison spell is useless, plus i have to compromise on my attk troops by taking extra troops to contest troops in cc.Quote:

The poison spell needed a nerf. Supercell is trying to make Clash of Clans more skill-oriented. Now, taking care of the clan castle troops isn't a simple action any brain dead person could do anymore. You'll get used to it :)
poison spell is to help defeating enemy cc troops while in the middle of the attack when your troops meets your enemy cc troops.
just luring enemy cc troops out then killing them with poison spell alone is too OP.
