Hey Cade, now that I look at it, you have point. My bad but I don't think I can move it.

My clan has a similar story.
We were a 'feeder' for a very strong clan. The problem was that no one ever wanted to move to main, because of the comradery we had in our group, and we always thought of ourselves as more of an extension, rather than a feeder.
We got to be a very good clan in our own right, and a few of our guys started a third clan.
Number two and three got to be a pretty good match, as members would go between them frequently to help out. However, it was challenging to keep peeps in number three, because as difficult as it is to recruit for a number two, it is even harder to recruit for a number three!
The guy who started our group decided that he didn't like a couple of the guys from two and three, and demanded that our leaders boot them.
Ultimately, our entire clan decided to go out on our own. We deleted our number two clan, and the guy who started the group originally, ended up taking over and deleting number three, and leaving those guys out to dry!
The most ironic part about it was when the old founder accused us of disloyalty! Yeah, we are a disloyal group of guys, who have been sticking together for months and months, and who stood beside our bothers when he called for their exile!
We created a new identity, and we now have a feeder of our own. We decided to stay away from numbers, for the same reasons that you have noted.
Our new main is Exiled Militia, and in tribute to our fallen brothers from number three, our feeder is Forgotten Exile.
Since neither are numbered, and because we avoid the word 'feeder,' refering to it instead as a 'sister clan,' it is much easier to recruit. Also, since numbers are not in place, we can eventually build a higher-ranked clan, and our current main can become the new number two!
Wow what a story, and a great tip about clan names:)
Nice story dude but this is suppossed to be in General, not tactics str.... thread.
So an update.
As a splinter clan we left with 29 folks. We lost one who we hope will come back. So 28.
We're at 45 now and we've weeded out almost all of the deadwood from the new comers. Basically for every person we added after 45 we kicked out a deadwood. Today was the first morning that we didn't have deadwood to kick. We only have another 4 good ones to add.
But for the 17 we've added we've probably kicked another 8 or 9. And by the time it's all done a couple of those will probably fade. So we keep 2 of 3 we add for more than one day. Some come for a day and leave.
When we first opened we were kicking 1 or 2 an hour. Now we've raised our minimum to 1500 so we're getting good candidates even if a bunch can't read that we require level 5 troops.
It's important that all of your elders are supportive of the noise that occurs when you let anyone join. Having a soft touch in asking folks to go means they dont come back over and over again which is annoying and Supercell should fix.
So we'll get to 49 and keep a slot open for the one person who left. We look forward to having them back.
