Th8 3-star war attack

I'm looking for a th8, 3-star attack strategy. Don't want to hear gowipe, I want something more reliable. Any advice and tips are greatly appreciated. Include the troop comp as well please.

Mass hogs. Screw GoWiPe and it's ♥♥♥♥ty 3* rate, mass hogs is easily the best overall option for TH8 as the game is currently constituted.

I'm a new-er to th8 so I only have level 3 hogs. Are they good enough to use??

they are not the sure thing that L4s are because a single L3 G-bomb will take them out and you can't pre-heal that spot. That said if you are really good with surgical deploy L3s can work but take the extra 10 days and get them to L4.

What Klavious said, definitely spend the time to get them to 4 asamfp. As for lvl 3's, technically a lvl 3 giant bomb will not one-shot your lvl 3 pigs, it'll leave them with like 22 hp leftover, so if you pre-fired your heals you'd survive it just fine, but like one shot from a wiz tower and a g bomb and they're all toast. Again, as Klavious said, if you're good with surgical there's still some utility from them and you can definitely triple some bases, but just get them to 4 and reap the benefits.

Mass hogs (rank 4 as the guys above stated).

Or dragloon or drags with 3x lightning or 2x heal 1 rage depending on the base.

80% of my war attacks on TH 8 were mass hogs since the bases usually are harder to hit with drags thanks to the pathing you can force as a defender or good traps.

But if it´s a bad anti drag base, just go dragons and you don´t even have to think :)

It's been SO LONG since I had L3 hogs to play with, BUT I feel people are underestimating them. I would LOVE to try some L3 hogs out using surgical nowadays. Seriously, I don't even care about GBs or DGBs during my hog runs at all.

I know this may be very common, but just wanted to say that mass dragon does everything it needs. Take out the air defense, and watch the defense crumble. Camp includes all dragons, 3 rages, 1 poison, 1 barbarian king, and dragon as well as some supporting troops in the clan castle for the barb king

Mass hog and GoHo significantly superior to mass drags, in any form (at this time, pre-update)

Mass Dragon or Dragloons plus zap quake, GoHo, GoVaHo, and sometimes GoWipe can do the job depending on the base of the enemy. Even at th9 I sometimes use GoWipe and I get a sure 3stars, sometiems I bring 4 pekka and 3 golem. But Take note it depends on the base of the enemy. You should analyze the base and plan your attacks. :)
