Balancing Blog Series: March 2016 Update

Don't let the th 9 war community dictate what wars really need - the 30 extra seconds are absolutely pivotal to carrying out a decent th 11 war attack.

1) SC's reasoning behind introducing the Eagle was to challenge players to do two-phased attacks. Two phased attacks take longer, so the 30 seconds are needed. So now we go back to two star spam attacks? Sounds fun. I don't get it.

2) If th 9 players feel that th 9 is too easy, upgrade to th 10 and eventually you'll get your challenge. Don't ruin the game for the rest of us.

Ok, i guess there were really people complaining about the 3:30 mins were too much.
Its ok i guess, i was so happy when they put more 30 secs... but its ok, i guess SC knows what its better.
Will try to make the attacks more efective now regarding time.

TH11 without witch it's just same offense as th10. e.g, if th11 can 2 star th11, th10 should???

Actually, they are not saying everybody wanted it, they are saying it was requested by the war community (which it was). Props to them for making some changes based on their requests, when most of the changes are catered to the casual gamers you are referring to.

I can't think of one logical reason that they would include a balancing change in a future sneak peak instead of posting it in a thread titled "Balancing Blog Series: March 2016 Update," which was specifically designed to address in depth the changes they were making to balance troops.

You are assuming that SC is using logical reasoning to improve the game for the higher levels, which they aren't. I really think they are now focusing on wringing money out of the lower levels, assuming that the cash cow has run dry up in the high levels. They are probably right too, anyone th8 and below has no idea how crushing it is to put time effort and money in to upgrade only to find that their three starring days will soon be over.

That can change the war weight dramatically, is not the same for an upgrade. If you cannot know if the building will be completed then you cannot know the weight.

It's great that SuperCell are brave enough to experiment, try different things to make the game better. So overall I am positive on SuperCell.

But on the other hand they do seem a bit clueless at times with these changes. I think their designers/developers should be held accountable - they should come online and show us how a strong TH10 can 3 star another strong TH10 in a war post-update. Or do they even get that this is what the "war community" want to be able to do????
