I can live with these changes, but I'm pretty sad about going back to the 3 minute attack time. I think those who have mastered the queen walk (not as easy as it looks) are getting robbed. It's been nice to see new strategies come from having more time. imo.

Been nice playing clash, but for me it is just a game, something to lose myself in and forget stresses of work. The game isn't what I started playing and these changes are making the game less and less enjoyable for me.
Ouch. A pity to see so many long term players driven out.
Out of curiosity, which bit of these changes? These don't seem to be anything like as bad as the december update. Most of them seem harmless, although the 3-minute limit is going to annoy a lot of people outside the 0.1% of players in "elite" war clans.
It's official, Poison Spells are now useless, I guess we're back to using lightning spells, huh?
Dropping a Poison spell on idle troops is "boring and time-consuming" so they make Poison useless. What planet are they on?
Long story.
It is more a growing thing since the December debacle. The last one killed the joy for me, I don't appreciate the 5 star system they brought in. The focus for the attacking has been obtaining loot, not winning stars, I used to easily get 100K DE a week as a TH9 with one of my heroes... now I just can't get DE at that rate. I need to use my heroes... queen takes 78 mins to regenerate and the 5 gem boost... well, say no more.
But the game is, in itself, a mobile game. If I wanted a hugely complex game that was going to occupy hours of my life then fine. But I just want to find a base and destroy it. And, if I wanted a more complex game I'd have chosen another. On a PC - where I can see the screen. Without removing my glasses and holding it around 1-2 inches from my eyes.
The direction seems to be making the game more and more complex. I learn one thing, it is nerfed, whether this be by adjustments to it, or by other things being adjusted. Hogs, I love hogs. Hogs are getting a new level (yay!) but so is their evil nemesis.. the IT tower. What is the point? Unless it is to trample on those less fortunate that you? Oddly enough, I don't find that strategic. Nor fun.
But the concept of having strategy to this level in the game is bizarre. I have 30 seconds, visually, to scout a base, working out the calculations of the radius of various defenses verses my troops in my minds eye. Every base is now a war style base... but my army has to be one-size-fits-all-eventualities to be able to encounter any style base. I say any style, because I am frequently coming up against the same bases. And there's a reason for that. They are hard. lol. The one think that I found useful was witches, not en masse, just a few, was because they triggered bombs that were hard to avoid.
So, taking into account the direction it seems to be going, the little progress I am making seems pointless. Although my nexting of TH11 bases has improved remarkably. There should be an achievement for that. or a mini game at least.
There are a variety of other things, but on the 10th day of not attacking a PvP base I realised that it was time to hand over leadership of my clan. Whilst I have been writing this it has been 13 days since I last attacked anything in my war log on my TH10 account. And I really can't be bothered loading up my TH8 base. I'm even avoiding war.
I don't think that this is a bad thing, just a realisation that I have grown up and moved on. [edit loooooong backstory] Rather than being a welcome distraction that it once was, it now feels like it just would consume any free time that I have. Happily so as well. I have got a lot from playing this game, but it has taken just as much. The balance is about even at the moment. Just intend to donate troops to clan mates for the time being until I can say my goodbyes I guess. :)
