I don't think i've ever seen it as dry as it has been since the update, despite what they say I am convinced they have changed something. There seem to be a LOT more noob bases, whilst I can find 100k+ g/e bases they are a lot rarer.
I've been on at every time of day and its pretty much the same each time

I'm having different thoughts. Although a day ago I made a thread about replenishing goblin loot, I just started farming right around the 1300 mark and it's working really good...

The loot for TH 9 was back before the maintenance break yesterday at 1400 range.
I had over 200k constantly.
After the maintenance break it's totally gone, thnx supercell for destroying this game
They didn't change a thing. It's still as crappy as it was before the plate.
remenber if you don't gem then this game is not made for you.
It was fine before, and after the update it's even better. They *RAISE* the amount you can loot and people somehow still complain?!
Did anyone stop to think that maybe the reason you are seeing less loot now then before the update is that everyone was saving for the update and have now spent most or all of it?
Just no loot, nothing to think about, I wrote in another post it takes nearly a billion gold to maximise ur walls once they are all skulls, even though the update has brought fresh air it's still ♥♥♥♥ loot and maybe even worse with too many ppl raiding. The fact that people might have spent their resources is irrelevant as the new things cost elixir not gold, there is still no gold.
900 million for last 2 levels of walls= 150 days if you loot 6 mill a day and do not upgrade anything else that requires gold. In 150 days an estimated 3/4 updates from SC maybe? Which will bring more stuff to do and more gold to spend. I mean even all the mines if left for 50 hours won't even produce enough for 1 piece of wall.......................
Now if Rauta, Twister or Sneaky coud explain if this is the way this was intended to work I am sure that all community will be very happy and will allow us to make a choice rather than a guess.

Terrible loot for me. Went from 900 - 1400.....tried 20-30 searches. Will probably go to 15-1800 now.
It's better as before so stop whining!!!
My theory is same as every other updates. Rage quitters are attracted to come back and a lot of people play which makes dries the loot. Give it 2 weeks. Everything will be back to normal when this rage quitters quit again.
I have never stopped farming since the update. You are right. Every trophy range is dry as shiit.
I'm hoping my theory is correct.

I think this has a lot to do with it. I remember when they had the last winter themed update (I think), people complained of less loot then too. Then sneakydave made a thread of abandoned villages not appearing in matchmaking. A few days after, SC had a minor maintenance break and they started appearing again and the loot improved. Lol this update has caused havoc. I am TH 7 almost max in defense, lvl 55. I farm in 1000-1200 range. I am having trouble finding anything over 150k. I am now settling for anything near 100k/100k but I spend nearly 10k gold searching for it. lame
I must admit, my playing time has drastically decreased since the update. It also doesn't help that each upgrade is now taking over 4-5 days

Not sure why that thread was closed either. As for the loot, I'm TH 8 at 1100 cups and it's been pretty inconsistent since the update. From 550k gold/hour last night to around 350k gold/hour today. Don't really know what to make of it yet.Quote:

From the other thread it does appear that you can loot 199k from storage.
I spent basically all day farming yesterday.
The strange thing was that not once did I see a base with empty collectors and 200k available from storages.
I either found 100k bases (after 20 searches) or 300k bases (after literally 50+ searches). And i found about 5 or 6 of them for the day. You may say that i should be lucky to find that many 300k bases, but when i normally find 3 or 4 200k bases in that amount of time, i was losing out (comparably) big time.
It literally took me probably 8 hours to fill my storages from zero to 6 mil.
EDIT: TH8, was in between 1200-1700
I would say it is a combination of factors:
- People who were inactive come back
- People who were active get more active (Personally I did this)
- Easier to spend resources because there are cheaper upgrades to be done
- More people who are active = more people who are raiding
- More people who are trying to steal resources to afford new buildings and upgrades.
I agree it's harder than usual to get the 100-200Ks now,
& though it's not impossible, sometimes the cost for encountering one (30-40K) kinda negates the joy you get from finding one.
I did however run across a 320K village last night though.
(And I've tried everything from 1300-1800)

I have a lvl 9 TH, and before the update I was farming quite nicely in the 14-1600 range, after the new update, I have noticed that the majority of bases I am now offered has gone from mainly lvl 8/9 TH (as these were farming as well), to lvl 6/7 TH, and the very few higher TH bases I do see, are heavily guarded, which makes the chance to loot nigh on impossible.
So I don't necessarily think the loot has dried up, but being offered bases that you will get a percentage penalty seems to me as a waste of time, all it does is cost you a lot more gold because you search for longer.
I have slowly increased my trophies throughout the day, and I am currently just under 1800, and although I am now seeing more lvl 8/9 TH bases, It is hard to even loot enough from them to break even. I do occasionally get the odd base where I can loot, the most I have done is 225k, but the majority of battles I am picking up 60-70k.
Now when I eventually need to do lvl 10 walls, at the rates we r actually looting, we will have to play 8-10hrs a day to maybe upgrade 1 wall, that wud mean 225 days just to finish your walls without spending your gold on anything else, this is too extreme. either the looting percentages have to be removed, or available loot is increased significantly, adding 19k is not enough, we shud be able to loot 400-500k per battle, providing the base has the loot, just to give us a chance to even contemplate upgrading to lvl 10 walls.
I get every update has it's issues, and that SC is a business and needs to make money, but surely making the game enjoyable and achievable to ALL players is the goal. Even by doing this, you will always get the players that want everything now, and will spend money to get it, and even the casual player may drop some money here and there as they are enjoying the game, surely a common ground for all players is the way forward, making it virtually improbable for someone who doesn't spend any money to upgrade at a slower pace doesn't make sense to me, as these players will just give up.
Here's hoping they will sort it out for all players :)
TH9 / 1400 - 1500 trophees. I spent 120k gold this morning to find someone with more than 150k gold.

Honestly, at town hall 8, trophies 1,000-1,300, the farming is the same as before the update for me. I'm not saying it's ideal, but it's about the same. I cycle through maybe 20-30 bases and come out with 100k+ gold/e every time. Maybe my standards are lower, though.

Gamers are not idiot and when they see that the cost of certain in-game material greatly exceeds the value of their effort to obtain it, they can decide not to have it, and maybe decide to quit the game.

Yeah I bought the Baba king but it's not good for the money, and I believe many feel the same here.
This is not a PC game, where items can be traded for real money. I liked the new ideas but ironically people who created are trying to ruin the franchise.
I'd suggest that the company should find a way to give more resources to the th 8,9 level players.
Rasing yield rate with mines should be done quickly, but doing it alone would not be enough.
I think there should be a bonus multiplier with loots based on the percentage of raid completeness.
I see many on this thread speak on the company's behalf, and please don't. It will ruin this great game further.

When the update was first released the matchmaking was made on th level, then they made a minor update so now it's trophy level so while big loots are there you have to sift through the nubs to find them.
Even the second X-bow with the additional levels was not for non-Gemmers. What kind of army do you think someone would need to continually go up against 2 lvl 3 X-bows? Only the type that Gemmers can build every 10 mins.Quote:

I am TH8, level 64, and am raiding in the 1150-1250 range.
I have noticed that I am being matched up with many more villages at levels < 30 since the update, which means I do need to cycle through more towns to find some good ones. I just spent 100 gems to speed up my barracks so I could test the matchmaking. I was able to do 6 raids in 45 mins, I was able to find decent (>100k of each resource) matches within 30 raid previews for all except my third raid which took 84 looks. On my third and sixth raid I was not able to get all of the available resources. I was raiding with 8 Level 5 Wallbreakers, 80 Level 5 Archers, and 112 Level 4 goblins, which without the gems would take 26 minutes to train. Results are below:
Against Level 45 a 90% damage 2 stars
Gold - 247,157
Elixir - 194,031
Against Level 57 a 75% damage 2 stars
Gold - 203,361
Elixir - 188,473
Against Level 50 a 60% damage 1 stars
Gold - 73,391

I've also done some calculating on what resources are available to be raided, by visiting a village on my attack log and recording how much of each resource they have and then revenge attacking them to find out how much is available to be won, but the results are not consistent.
On one TH9, available resources were 25% of total for each resource, but on another TH9 it was 27% for gold, and 30% for elix. For the TH7 that was looked at, the available resources to me was 75% of the 33% available to be raided of the total amount. More investigating needs to be done to get conclusive evidence.
please fix loot searching. It really sucks right now. I search for loots >100 about 20-30minutes :/

I'm TH9 1600-1800... It used to be fine before the updates, although it took more than 10 searches to get a decent loot of 100k+ but they were there. But after the updates, It becomes more difficult to find those villages. Perhaps stored loots had been used to upgrade... But yea, definely need more loots

Maybe its just part of the upgrade and it will level off. Upgrades cost a ton now and it sure would be nice to be able to earn them instead of pressing the green east button. Thats not my style.

there are always threads about lower loot after updates.
This is mostly because ppl are on more at the start of an upgrade and spending said resources upgrading their base...either because there is new stuff to do, or because they haven't been on in a while.
As there is more to spend resources on...but the incoming hasn't been changed (no upgrades to pumps/mines), then the pool of available resources is reduced.
They have at least made an effort to counter this a little by increasing the lootable capped amount from storages by 10% (180-198k).
The point about inactives has been raised before, and there did seem to be a change to this, but again...we don't know what determines someone to be inactive.
In an ideal world, then the inactive ppl would appear on your list first and foremost, so you can steal 50% of their pumps/mines...but there's probably more actives than inactives, and with ppl raiding numerous times a day, either giving shields or not...the resources available decrease as they are stolen.
It pretty much plateau's out in a week or so, and the threads die out.

There would have been nothing in my mines as i was only out for a minute or two..
According to the replay only 2 of my GOLD Storages were destroyed... I lost 196,043 (the third was probably not far off being destroyed.. but i thought it was capped at 60k / Storage unit???
