There should be a better rankin system in your clan. Have one leader, two co-leaders, maybe four luitenants, senior elder, and the rest elders and members. Only the leader and co's can update and change clan settings. Leader, co's, and luitenants can start clan wars. Elders and everyone up can accept new members. Everyone is so desperate for clan members that they just give away the position of co-leader and it dosnt mean anything now.
Well that's the leader's decision if he wants to ruin the value of a coleader. Maybe if we get new ranks, those will be worthless as well.
Some clans have special ways in which the clan is controlled, and this would just be limiting it to only one way.
It's down to each individual clan how "special" they make each rank, I agree a clan that offers free elder or CO just for join is in my mind making these positions worthless.
But alot of clans still value the ranks and issue them out accordingly.
