I have struggled to find a 320 task for most of the week. :(
are you deleting all 12 tasks on the board every 30 mins. you tend to get better results the more active you are.
whereas if you're only deleting 3-4 tasks every couple hours becasuse you can't bring yourself to delete those 305 307 310 and 311 tasks then yeah it's gonna be less likely you get a 320.
that and no sense in keeping a 320 boat task up there if you're not gonna use it...go ahead and delete that don't worry it'll be back in 30 mins.
Been a rough week for tasks
320 tasks are in fewer quantity than before and seem to be mainly boats. Our hood is very active and has players in all different time zones. Even trashing 24/7 we still struggle to get the higher point tasks to come through. I can't say this week has been worse than others though as I'm having a derby break.
There does seem to be fewer 320s this week. No one in our derby has a perfect score, and usually by now a team or two has zipped through the tasks and finished with perfect totals.
Our little hood has taken a couple of 307 trucks and other tasks below 320 and we are still easily in the top 10.
I am a nh of 1, and I try to do only 320s, and I have not yet managed it. I work from home and am on a lot, trashing the entire board every 30 minutes sometimes.
Lots of 320 boats. I had 1 320 help, and a 320 truck. I did those, but ended up doing 312 to 315 for the rest.
Here's my personal experience but first some background info about my NH. I'm in a 12 person NH, 11 of which play the derby. We are in Champions League so we have 9 tasks each to do each week. Our goal stay in Champ League and work on that achievement while a top 3 is nice if possible.
Now I do understand 320 tasks should be somewhat hard to come by because otherwise every NH would end up on the same perfect score each week. That said my NH and myself also feel the high point tasks don't show up as often as we'd like. Quite often a few are stalking the board trashing every half hour and can go for a day or so without seeing a single 320 except those boat tasks which seem to pop up every round. Well with 9 tasks simple mathematics teaches us you can't do all boat tasks in the derby without having to call in early most boats.
We also understand that the game encourages to be in larger sized hoods and it would be very nice to recruit and have more people on our NH. However we are currently simply afraid to recruit more because the good high point tasks are just too scarce. Yes I narrowed it down to good tasks because 49 goat milk is just nasty. Sometimes you're competing way more against your own hoodies to snatch up the tasks instead of competing against other hoods. So we decided not to go out and recruit actively and stay as we are.
Which kinda brings me to my next point and it's something I personally find odd. Whether you're in a 1-person NH in rookie league who has to do 5 tasks or a full NH in Champ league which have to do 9 tasks each totaling at 270 tasks in 6 days you work with the same derby board. In either case there are 12 spots on the board for tasks and the cool down to wait for a new task is exactly the same. Obviously the board has to grow quite a few tasks before each member in a full NH can even obtain a task to work on.
I would also like to see the derby board work more like the truck board. You know where you send a truck and get an new order immediately and only have the cool down when you actually trash an order. I think I'd like to see something similar for the task board. Now when someone takes a task from the board there's the same cool downs as if it was trashed. It would be nice if it was replaced with a new task right away which probably needs trashing straight away but hey every bit helps right.
Of course this all is just my personal opinion and experiences.
I think the boat tasks are the cash cow of the derby hence we get lots of them pop up. Perhaps the update on the diamond reduction on boats with time was to encourage more spending. I do the odd boat task but I don't spend diamonds to call them in. It just takes a day and half to complete. I saw someone comment about the diamond spending and I have changed my view a little. If the "big spenders" didn't splash out on decs, boats etc then the free game we love wouldn't be able to exist anymore. If SC depended on what I invest each month they wouldn't last long! Lol
My NH is what I call a no stress neighborhood. Everyone is required to do all 9 tasks as we are in the championship league. However, we don't try to win, we just try to get all our horseshoes and not be in the bottom three. That is the only rules we have. Tasks must average over 2700 points with most people doing an average of 310 per task. We don't require anyone to do a Diamond task. Only problem I have is I have some lazy people that only clear of the board when they can't find the task they want instead of trying to help everyone out.
I think that's a great idea!🤓👍
I don't think just adding tasks is the answer. I think we should instead delete a few tasks from the pool. add a bit of chlorine to clear the sludge so we can see the bigger point values.
so this was created in September I know a few more 320s were added since then but it still paints a picture.
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...of-Derby-Tasks
there are 6 different possible boat tasks
21 different possible fishing tasks
10 different possible wool tasks
11 different possible milk tasks
8 different possible goat milk tasks
7 different egg tasks
9 different Bacon tasks
13 different Truck tasks
15 different town visitor tasks
21 different Mining tasks
I do know there are a few more 320 tasks that are available some for production of goods some for mining
I think a reduction of the non wanted tasks would be needed more than simply adding 320 tasks.
there are only 6 options for boats and that seems a fair number so make it 6 options each catagory. and have at least 1 of those options be for 320 point tasks.
take mining Yes a 320 point task was added but they also added a 318 a 315 and a 312. which made the odds of getting a 320 mining task 1 in 25 where as before the odds of getting a 311 task was actually better at 1 in 21.
so remove all but 6 options in mining make it a 320 , 270 , so on and so forth like boats. same for townies. we don't need a task for serving 19 20 21 22 23 townies. make it 25 20 15 10 5 and 2 and set the points accordingly. with 320 for 25 townies and 25-50 points for the 2 townies. fishing same as mining. you're waiting on the spots to open for the most part it only takes a minute more to catch 12 fish vs 2 fish at an average weight of 3 lbs per fish why is there 16 different possible scores between 270 and 320? put 110 lbs at 320 85 lbs at 270 and lower amounts down the line.
make it a 16% chance of getting a 320 point task on each task instead of the best odds going to boats and the worst odds going to fishing mining and townies. if nothing else at least fishing relies on the actual player to do all the work. boats a player can have his NH either fill crates or sell goods for it. meanwhile no one can pull the fish out of the water but the player himself (or herself).
I personally think there should be a 320 point task for each production machine. just the 1 320 task nothing below that and it should be something that takes at least 24 hours so in the case of the coffee kiosk it would be 48 raspberry mochas for smelting it would be slightly different since there is 5 of them but it would be 10 platinum bars or some such. then the players could choose which machine they'd want to devote to the derby for a day (keeping in mind they'd be stuck with that machine making only that product in order to complete the task in time.)
obviously this could cause occasional complaints from lower level players who don't have a sushi machine or a hot dog machine or a smoothie machine. but it's options and with these options NHs with mixed level players can leave the mining and fishing tasks for the lower ones while they work the machine tasks or fill boats or what ever.
