Builders should be a defensive unit also

Yes Builders...hear me out first. I researched and this is a viable option that is not ruled out on the forum.
I’m referencing games such as Warcraft here. But, in those games the peons/peasants etc. served to mine and build only. However, when their village is under attack they fought to keep it alive.
They of course are not very strong units, but still they make it realistic due to it being their home they are trying to save.
Maybe we should allow our builders be defensive units when the village is attacked? All they do is build in this game otherwise. The proposed stats for one is below is red.
Builders (stuck at level 1 unable to level up)
*Defensive only & Not player controllable.

**Builders auto attack ground targets only when either their Town Hall is destroyed, or once 50% damage has been reached against their village. They target the nearest enemy ground troop with their hammers, and pitchforks.
They exit their Town Hall to begin their last ditch efforts of saving their village.
See they would not be very strong, as they are not troops. Just builders. But, it makes sense to me.
They are simply what they are..
